To be fair, when I was 30, like Marknis and Sly279, it was one of the worst years of my life. I'd recently discovered hard drugs, I was utterly alone living in a NY apartment I despised, and working a job I detested to the ends and depths of my soul. Consequently, I only saw one way out - suicide.

Two months later, after I left the psych hospital, I had no choice but to go back to the same job I had because it was the only way to pay the rent; I had no one to lean on. Cue: 20 more years of drug and alcohol abuse and homelessness.

Can you imagine that, after all these years, I'm finally feeling okay thanks to SSDI? 55 f*cking years of pain, misery and torture brought me here. I was never supposed to live past 21! Maybe I am dead and just dreaming this sh*t.

Yes they bully me but no one says anything so I assume most agree with them.

You’re probably better off for it, lots of us vs them elsewhere that even gets into haven sometimes.

sometimes ppl saying mean things is banther. its sort of a joke when u are supposed to reply in a same way. its considered a fun pastime when done with full consent of all participants ^^
