My politics took a definite turn to the Left after I attended Seminary and actually read the Bible a few times. Religion sucks; especially the sects and cults that pit "Us" against "Them", like yours apparently does -- the god of bigotry, judgement, and hatred is not the G^D I worship. BTW: You are not going to get many converts bad-mouthing those whose beliefs are not in lock-step with yours.

It is us vs them, because there is no union between light and darkness -- the two are opposed to each other...

... Also I'm not trying to convert people, but to reassure those who are already on the right. Speaking the truth to a world obsessed with self-destruction will earn us enemies, and our book already told us this will happen to us, so no need for us to be surprised when it happens.

Well, your Bible magic isn't going to work here, the OP is not a believer, so that would put him on the side of "darkness" according to you. Why don't you just leave him alone and stop trying to make him feel worse?

Only spotted this thread a little while ago as I have been fairly busy. It was right that the OP posted this in the Haven; thus attempts to belittle or patronize him are off limits here. WP is not pro violence. It might be that we overlook things which should be best deleted or locked but there are few of us here and I for one, get easily sidetracked - my short term memory seems to show some signs of ADD or similar.

Members are allowed to post threads about violence in news stories etc but should NOT be posting random ones encouraging violence, even in jest - we on the autism spectrum don't always know the difference; thus it's better to steer clear of the kind of jokes that can trigger anyone. I recall years ago getting very triggered and angry about an anti-gay website that seemed to be real but which I eventually learned was a clever satire site.

Sly - don't hesitate to PM one of us if you feel you're being bullied. As you can see, action has been taken in many cases. I want to commend you for NOT posting pro violence or against the rules. You are keeping your temper and for that we are very grateful as we don't want to lose you. This IS a support site, especially Haven.

Cberg should NOT get personal here and I may need to edit some remarks out here when I get a chance... Amity is right.

That said, I also feel the title of this thread is a mistake as its inaccurate and can trigger people to make wrong assumptions. Several posts here need cleaning up.

Also, unfortunately cberg is quite right about Trump supporting violence against his political opponents, such as letting them get attacked by dogs, even if you don't personally endorse that.

Why is the op allowed to post flame bait in the haven? He got the intended response he was looking for, yet it's other people that get in trouble. cberg should know better than to take the bait in the haven. Why does the troll that posted it have immunity?

He doesn't have immunity, but because it was posted in the Haven, we need to avoid politics here.

His politics may be abhorrent to most or all of us, but unless he actually breaks the rules we can't do much. I too, wish he's acknowledge that his idol is pro violence as are many if not most of his supporters.
