I've got to wear glasses

My experience is different. I tend to see adults of all ages (both 20-s and 40-s) wearing glasses. I don't know if it is a cultural thing (as in, in America it is more common than in England) or the university thing (as in I spend a lot of time at the university and those people have glasses because they read a lot). But I definitely don't think wearing glasses would make you stand out in any bad way -- unless your culture is totally different from anything I seen.
I, on the other hand, need glasses because I watch a lot of porn.
My mum said I would go blind if I kept doing "it".

You don't see many young, pretty celebrities on TV wearing glasses. Maybe male celebrities more but not many females under the age of 50.
The ones who need them probably wear contacts.
Exactly, which is why I think glasses aren't as cool or attractive as what people say (maybe it's an American thing?) Otherwise more young celebrities would be wearing glasses even if they don't need them.
I do envy people who don't need glasses.
I would go for laser eye surgery but I suppose that has a catch, plus it's expensive.
I guess it depends on what your target market is. People that watch TV are already a portion of the population, those that are interested in celebrity stuff like love Island and the only way is Essex are another portion, and on average not that bright based on the survey data. So I think the stereotypical love island viewer probably does hold the view that young women wearing glasses is a bad thing. Doesn't mean they are wrong, they just represent a particular breed. Remember TV is also about maximising appeal for ad revenues. You won't put off a viewer because a girl isn't wearing glasses but its just possible you might put off some thug if a girl is wearing glasses. For a given person though I would suggest you aren't interested in maximising sexual interest from others, just interest from the right kind d of person for you. Ask yourself this: would you want to ve with or be around someone that would lower their opinion of uou because you need to use a device to improve your vision?
I find that women wearing glasses can be very attractive, and many others think so too. I mean we do have the whole sexy librarian thing as a part of erotic fiction, pornographic storylines etc... and guess what? She weara glasses!
