What happened at NYU, ASS-P?

Hope you're doing okay, ASS-P. Sorry yesterday was hard.

Looking back at the past posts on this topic, there seems to be some confusion about the transcripts issue. I wanted to mention that the reason why schools often require documents be sent directly from the other school is to prevent fraud from occurring by unsavory individuals. Unfortunately, ASS-P likely has to deal with having new transcripts being sent because of the fraudsters (mentioned below).

In the past, there have been instances where people "modified" their school transcripts (in some cases, completely made them up) to appear as a better candidate to a college/university when applying. They often get caught later on and lost any hope of getting their degree. Some of them got jail time for what they did. This issue has also drifted into the workforce, so companies usually require the same.

I used to work for a community college that was quite open to accepting anyone who was willing to learn. Many students had to have remedial courses to get them up to speed in certain required areas before they could be accepted as full time students. During the summer, I would help out teaching some of those remedial courses so that I could get more students in my classes in the fall. I just looked at them as future students, not people who were lacking skills.

There can be a stigma placed on those who go to community colleges, but that is really misplaced. It is a good starting point to an education, no matter what level you wish to obtain. Two of my outstanding former students from that community college were accepted to an Ivy league school (with full ride scholarships I might add) upon graduating with their associates degree. One of them is now at Harvard seeking a graduate degree in business. He started his own successful business while still an undergrad, so he is ready to take it to a new level. People are always shocked to learn that he made it that far starting at a community college.

...Now allowed back here, I will risk another ban - I am rending to think I am on the road to being permanently barred from here - After all, I said nothing name-calling to Ezra, the 13th or af kiter that, but he presumably claimed I did and presumably XFG moved to bar me . I would've thought other people, who I won't name now, would've been the ones to do so .

...This line was not really meant to be about the going-belatedly-to college/uni concept, but I got distracted myself, and, certain people burst into here to scream their hatred at me and berate me , they hated me so just over my past - It's not now - asking for help regarding getting my HS transcripts. That was the main point, the problem with getting my HS transcripts in a proper. full, form sent to any place I applied to, it was not as much, I believe, asking for help with the " normal " college applications part, hat would. I guess, be best done by the " normal " methods - but getting the transcripts, yes, the " Two Little Pieces Of Paper " sent correctly. I did feel I could use help with that.
Other people were allowed to have a " normal " situation regarding that, where, if the applied, their equivalent to the TLPOP went out, in a complete form, reliably,, I, IIRC, was not so lucky as to have that.
Perhaps I did not absolutely fill in the background enough, how my p a st attempts at applying apparently were not answered by the TV- movie " 'Skinky Dinky Dee! " scenraio of " your wonderful HS alma mater will do EVERYTHING! ", but by not-full, if any, records sent to where I applied (SUNY and NYU, I believe )...unlike the " normal " situation . If I had filled in the background more. would Rainbow Union - who had the infrastructure help.and perhaps hid parent's, have screamed out his hatred at me as much ? Would Be a Arthur have lectured me about how I cannot ask for help in getting the TLPOP, now matter how disadvantaged and cut off I was:cry:, that the College-Industrial Complex was sacred, that I could not disturb them in any way ? Maybe and maybe, actually .
But, what I primarily requested help with, I think, was the special circumstances of the TLPOP . I just don't see what was so terrible about that .
RU kind of accused me of wanting to go go to Harvard/Yale /similar. I NEVER said I wanted that! Why did he say that? I was more " realistic " than that, in any uni ambitions I HAD - Still have ? - I essentially ruled out such " brand name " places 100%. My ambitions basically stretched to a state school, or some intelligent church-affilated school somewhere . That's all.

I looked over this thread. Those transcripts wont help if your HS doesn't send them, so its moot even if you do in fact have them.

And RU did not say you were trying to get into Harvard. He was replying to KK, saying that you would get into any school if you had those transcripts. At the time, KK did not specify he meant any COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

Once again, you are trying to get others to do stuff for you, which makes no sense in a forum like this. I think the only reason you don't directly ask for money to blow is because the mods put the kibosh on that.

...I was going over the past, DW. Now, since I'm being forced to repeat/expand this, I was just trying to make sure any TLPOP transcripts went to the proper place. All you peopll here ere lucky enough to have an HS alma mater that responded properly and sent the TLPOP in in a " normal " manner can't imagine, I guess, what it's like. I didn't have that .
Even if it has to be a sealed-from-the-HS envelope, after my earlier experience s WHEN I APPLIED TO UNI AT LEAST PRETTY CLOSE TO ALL ALONE, as I was being ordered to do by people here (who maybe did not nessacary do that themselves ) and those applications apparently led to not-complete transcripts being sent to those to whom I applied...Well, some dealing with the transcripts-holder could, maybe, shame/embarass them, if nothing else, into doing it right this time, if I tried one more application. This was my main focus. I was not asking for money or gifts, certainly here. You just seem to be wanting to say something nasty to me, " Well, you might've been! ", like RU . Sour grapes.
