I don't see myself as worthless, as I do have friends and people like me. However, I realize that, at my age, I will not become anything truly great and my anxiety about accomplishing any more than my current level is rising. I don't see myself ever dating and getting married, even though I want to someday. I'm just not the kind of person any man would be interested in on a romantic level. I am the kind of person people go to for information, not one a man would ask out on a date. I am a short, plain-looking woman, not fitting the traditional definition of beauty at all. I look considerably younger than my given age, which would cause people to treat me like the "little sister," not as an equal.

she's fleecing you by having you come in more often than needed rather than do more work in one session. Unfortunately you are blind to that, and poor at making demands for yourself. We have both told you you are being taken advantage of by that nagging female canine, but you just can't see it. Open your eyes, and stop making excuses for that... ! !

I *really* wish that the .U.S. would cede the imperial system for the metric system. All the commotion I could expect to follow about scientific and technical understanding improving whilst there would be some quasi-politicized contention about the economic dis-homogeneity of gauging with a different measurement systems.

You're absolutely right about that! I'm genuinely sorry to worry you, i was just sure that i'll be accepted to a certain job and it didn't work out. I have a lot of books on my shelf and i'm halfway through Solaris by Stanislav Lem so it's best i finish it.

That book you mentioned sounds like it would be a Classic....just by the title and the author...

It's a science fiction about a planet called Solaris which sort of makes your Dreams come true. It also has two movie adaptations one by Andrei Tarkovsky and an American version as well with George Clooney!

I don't like the impatience which comes with having to wait for 'your body to recover' after a (questionable) lapse.

I took out the trash from my trash basket at the office. I'm the only one here right now. I grabbed two new plastic garbage bags, one to put in the bottom of the waste basket as a spare, and the other to line the basket with. I started to smell this horribly offensive artificial fragrance from somewhere. I made the mistake of deeply smelling the inside of the new trash liner. I went to the supply closet and realized the garbage bags were "FRESH SCENT!" I immediately removed the two new bags from my trash basket and threw them away with a grimace on my face. I moved the empty basket away from my desk to air out, and, yes, I threw away the ENTIRE box of those stupid liners. I washed my hands with my hypoallergenic soap very very well (yes, I can still smell that "fresh scent" on my washed hands). It's good that I was alone here since I was blurting expletives for minutes afterwards.

I can not begin to describe to all of you how much I hate artificial scents like that or in laundry soap, "dryer sheets", air "fresheners", cologne, perfume, etc. I mean really, really bad. They anger me. I loathe them. They make my nose run. They can give me a headache.
