I hear you. I don't think you're being whiny as I said I get you're venting and that you're trying to get stuff off your chest.

Was also saying I think he was simply trying to give advice, in his own way. You're definitely not wasting anyone's time, well my time anyway or I wouldn't reply.

Anyway, sorry you're feeling down.

if you had a job you'd be able to move out sooner. not being down on you, i'm looking for a new job too D:

I know that. I just meant if I got a full time job what wasn't on an hourly wage, I know I'd be getting shortchanged. Hell, I got 158 views on my blog last month. Wanna know how much that earned me? 99 cents. Not even a whole US dollar. So I'm making less than foreign labor. D:

Thanks. :)

It's okay. I'll get over it. Or at least I'll know not to post about it anymore until it is resolved so I don't get crap for posting about my problems anymore. >.<

My friend who works in IT gets paid less than most of the women that work in his office. Women don't get paid less than men, they just don't get promoted as much as men do. (On that note, who in their right mind would want to be a supervisor? Part of the job description is to be an aggressive a**hole, and somehow, women are inferior to men in that department)

If you had any training in counselling skills

but i don't

it wasn't what she said, it was all the 'mkay's which i thought was rude and if someone replied to me like that it would just make me feel stupid. he had good intentions i'm sure
being upset does not give you the right to make other people upset too

NO its the choice and respond of comments is the key here, you can choice to feel upset about or choice to feel something else that it. plus be mindful hear that you have no idea that going on is someone life & in there head you only know and make judgements from there communication based on your own life experiences.

Please walk a mile in another person's shoes!!

How long has your friend worked there in comparison to the women? Do they have a degree (as that adds to your paycheck)? My mom was a supervisor and she was very good at it. She was able to be just as firm with her workers as a man was. Then she got a better job where she could work from home and make more money. So that's a sh***y reason for women not getting a promotion. :/

USMcBNSFdude - Really? Where? I'm serious, I've never heard of a position that wasn't minimum wage that didn't have wage discrimination. Apparently enough companies do it for my internship employers to talk about it, hell it was even part of one of the speeches at my college graduation. So it is a big deal and still happens.

OMG It's like you read my mind!! !! !

Women do get paid less than men on average. There are exceptions to this, as there are exceptions to everything, and I'm pleased on behalf of your friend's female co-workers that their skills, experience and education have escalated their earnings beyond that of your friend's. It is nice to hear about that kind of recognition and I hope such situations increase to make the exceptions into the standard and your statement true, except for the not promoted as much bit.

What's the point? Unless I get a million views I won't get anything decent. D:

Got back from driving (apparently mom changed her mind and wanted to teach me). I kept getting freaked out with how many people were nearby and almost hit the curb several times. God, I don't think I'll ever get the hang of this. I really am a failure on every level.

All I can say is stay away from more meds if you can help it. I really regret taking SSRIs, I wish I had found another way to deal with things.

I think our bodies have their own brand of wisdom, only society trains us not to listen to it.

I think there are some people who do benefit from meds but they are generally overprescribed.

I wish I could get off my Adderall but I can't focus worth s**t without it. If I didn't take them, I would have flunked out of college and killed myself behind the wheel by now. Ugh. >.<

I'm completely useless without my meds, which is saying something since I'm pretty useless and worthless even when I am medicated. :(

So what are people supposed to do if they have extreme depression and meltdowns? I know what you mean and it's very true. I have no friends because of the fact I'm depressed all the time, and I really do try.

It just seems to me like there's no hope for people who have no outlet to cry.

Yup. If I cry at home, everyone yells at me. I have to wait until everyone goes to bed to cry and I gotta make sure I don't cry too loudly to wake them up either. I guess I can't cry or rant here either. I have nowhere to go.
