So glad to hear that planner was really helpful. No way we are going to stand by and let you be homeless Raleigh - even if we have to blitz every politician and newspaper in Queensland with protest emails!

^ I was only joking there about being homeless.
I don't think things would get that dire.
Well, I hope not.
But I'm feeling much happier knowing that I'll be ok financially.

Still have to pay my tax debt though.
No getting around that.
Even if I died they'd take it from my estate before I was cold in my grave.
Gotta love the government.

I hope this makes you laugh Raleigh, given that you and I both understand Australasian slang/vernacular. We are all rooting for you, we are rooters for Raleigh!

^ yes, the whole rooting thing on WP a while ago cracked me up, because you and I know what that normally means in Ozziespeak.

It was a hilarious episode.

how can you laugh at stuff when you know you won't be seeing it for long?
i mean i guess i would be devastated to the point of almost catatonia if i knew i had a "date set ", so i would not care in any mirthful way about anything.

it's like "you'll all continue to laugh at this stuff when i am no longer around" ...i don't know.
i am not trying to be dour, i just know that other people's attempts to cheer me up when i am in a bleak mood never work.

If Raleigh feels good about laughing then that's good with me. No point in raining on his parade, especially in this protected forum. If you don't get it, then you don't, though it's about Raleigh in this thread.

But it's not all doom and gloom.
The financial planner has told me what to do and she's going to make all the arrangements for me, so that's taken a huge weight off my mind.
I can also claim her services pro bono because of my circumstances.
So I can probably prevent homelessness for a while longer :P

Yay!! !! !! Very happy to hear this, thank goodness for good financial planners (and ones who may even have a heart) :D
Good to hear good news from you. I was worried. All the best and still thinking of you, if a few vibes help ..
