My sick cat is making me very unhappy today. He's holding in there though and I'll be super happy if/when he recovers... An arrogant young idiot illegally using our driveway at speed nearly ran him over today, just as well we don't carry around guns in New Zealand!! !

This is mesmerising.
Hope your cat gets better soon, B19. He's lucky to have such a caring owner.
Sharecat (feral cat I share with the neighbour) went missing yesterday, i.e. didn't turn up for nomnoms, but put in an appearance at noon today. Judging by her size we're probably sharing her with a few other neighbours as well.

Reminds me of a wonderful Burmese cat we had years back, a charming, handsome and clever four legs, who (I eventually discovered) had worked his charm on a few neighbours up and down the street so that they had bestowed "their" name on this "stray" cat, and he arrived for meals at set times, he had cleverly trained them all up to think they were his only benefactors! Then one day one of the neighbours happened to call in and saw "his" cat peering at him from our door. Apparently the little devil had been visiting this neighbour and other locals for months!

Dear little thing. Pictures of cats are very soothing to me at any time, such a sweet little guy. I love all cats, even the bad eggs like the big brown bully boy Persian next door, whose life I once saved despite his capacity for causing endless grief around here to the resident cats (who fear and hate him, with good reason). I found him (a couple of years ago) in my bathroom bleeding to death from a ruptured bladder, got him very urgent help which saved his life (and cost his owners $3000.. I regarded that as a fine on their un-neighbourly attitude to ignoring requests from all nearby cat owners to keep him inside at night at least as nearly every night -then and since - I have to get up in the middle ofthe night to stop his attacks on the beloved cats around here (who are pacifists). Mostly I have good neighbours, just two bad eggs, the Persian's owners and the mad screamer who attacked me this morning.. I am the cat police...
