I meant them. I wish no one any harm. But haters gotta hate, and they're hating on me, so nothing I post will ever be seen in a positive way. Sad. No worries, though. I stand up and speak out without regard to what the official party line may be. I'm the kind of person who points out that the Emperor is naked, when he would really want everyone to believe that he is arrayed in all splendor like the lilies of the field. I'm the person at the political rally who asks the candidate why he shakes hands only with the pretty young women and not with the ugly old men. I'm the person who asks the Big Boss why he gets to keep our collective holiday bonuses all to himself while the rest of us only get $5 gift cards from Starbucks.

So I'm also the person who gets invited by the security guards to step outside...

This has been the bane of my existence as far back as I can remember. I even took courses in crisis intervention and volunteered on a crisis intervention hotline. I quit after a few months because the same people kept calling in with the same problems, sometimes two or three times a shift, and the wanted neither a referral nor a solution. What I know is no matter how well I behave, there are people on this website right now who will see an ulterior motive or hidden agenda behind my behavior, and assume the worst about me as a result. Stuff 'em. They're as closed-minded as they claim me to be, and they will never change.

No one ever hung up on a caller for abusing the crisis intervention system. However, a lot of us got fed up with the abuse and left the service for good.

I am not asking for understanding. Those people who find fault with me at every turn think they "understand" me, when they have simply decided that I'm a bad, nasty, awful, evil mean person with no redeeming social qualities and a complete lack of compassion.

So that's all them and not you? I don't know of anyone else experiencing this here, so I have nothing to compare it to. There are several people who do a quite a lot of posting here. But for whatever reason you are the only one who is receiving so much completely undeserved dislike. I don't understand it.

Some people IRL may express shock and horror that I would dare to speak out against the status quo, but they're usually the first ones who quietly thank me later.
