I feel like leaving sometimes becuause of the out of control juveniles here who dominate the board and bully others. They often meet at other websites to decide who to attack. I know it's happened to a number of people here.

Agreed. There needs to be a way to have separate areas where the youngsters and undiagnosed cannot get into because there are too many trolls and mentals who aren't even AS. Maybe if adults could pay a nominal one time fee by credit card to prove they are adults in order to get a password to enter an adult only section. Same with the diagnosed that they would have to submit a copy of their evaluation report as proof. I can't stand all these people that say they can't get a diagnosis. I've gotten 3 and yes as an adult, so its not that hard and you can even get it for free. No excuses.

Definitely considering leaving WP. One particularly abusive poster, and despite my pleas, the mods have yet to deal with it. :?

They could always use your advice on acquiring the desired diagnosis by telling the shrink what they want to hear:

Would it then be less disturbing, or less humorous?

Viewing the diagnosis as more important than the symptoms is ridiculous.

You can get it for free? How? I'd rather not be shelling out $200 an hour.

There are times where on WP I feel like an odd duck who would never have a true friendship with anyone here.

Because of school, I may have a reduced presence here this semester.

I sometimes consider leaving because I feel that the mature, goal-oriented ones on here are just a blip on the screen, while the ones who are slackers and just sit at home and play video games are the most well-liked.

If you could read the PMs I get from "management" defending slander on the part of the "developer", you'd run screaming from here.

I choose to stay and throw stones from a safe distance ('til I'm banned, of course). :?

Not really. There are certain people on here who concoct sophomoric conspiracy theories about people being "against them", and in turn take a 'holier than thou' attitude towards everyone. They seem to have some absurd idea about people being more "immature" than themselves, probably due to their pretentious ideas about themselves. Besides them, not really.

I think they are well-liked by each other and not by most folks on WP.

Besides, if you're in class, you got a real life going on. Way to go! One of the best ways I've found to meet people on campus was to join a study group. Got me out of the house, and I met some really nice people.

In the US you can go to Dept of Economics Voc Rehab and they will send you for a free neuropsychological exam. It cost around $2300 is what I was told and otherwise I would have never gone to one. Course I already had a diagnosis from my GP and a neurologist, but Voc said it needed an "official" dx from a neuropsych.

That must be state to state, because I couldn't get the psych exam here in Washington State. Or they gave me the wrong info, which is definitely possible.

I dunno maybe you are going to wrong place or asking wrong person. I was told all 50 states have this program.
