Hope you manage to sleep. Try lying in bed reading something pretty boring. Or listening to quiet music. The more anxious you get about not sleeping, the harder it will be to sleep. Try and pretend it doesnt matter, make the most of the extra time and maybe you might relax enough to sleep.

3. For all the misery that it's brought me, the things I've been going through have taken me on a journey of self discovery of sorts. My priorities are in a different order now, and I feel different as a result.

I’m scared and overwhelmed; why must one constantly be challenged throughout life (Jesus, I'm autistic; I don't need anything else to worry about when just thinking of walking the dog makes me shake)? I never improve with each subsequent failing, all I do is become more and more fearful of life and its freaking furtive fallings of failed fortune.

My mother beat me down in a game of Scrabble this evening, that’s cool; thinking of that will add + 1 to the sickly score. Thinking of someone else will add another + 1 to the terrified tally.

Make it a zero.

This must be one of the most honest threads on WP.

The scared and overwhelmed, I know. What I can sometimes do, but not always, is find the little crazy area in my head, the bit that shouts 'f*ck you', to fear, to fate...it scares me a little because I feel the irrationality of it. But also I love it, for its diamond hardness. It helps.

Life is one great big s**t. I hate the fact that it's my birthday, I hate the way I feel about other people, I hate my degree, I hate the holiday, I hate the house I'm living in next year, and I hate my inability to overcome my fears.
On the plus side,
...ok, so I don't really know why it's only a -2. I just... don't feel any worse than a -2 right now.
