Rants
There is definitely lots of input. None of the mods have clinically verified autism, and they expect level 2s, etc. to be able to understand things, such as humor, that we cannot. And when posts are clearly not humorous, we're expected to take them as such, even if they are insults without humor indicated.
I am known for my humour here.
Ask anyone.
Most people get it.
You are making assumptions which are not true.
I believe that most people who post are atheists, here, also.
No one was directing insults at you.
A couple of people were perhaps being too autie blunt, that is all.
You can't blame an entire community because of a couple of people you have difficulty with.
Miscommunications are inevitable in any autistic community, because communication issues are part of the diagnosis.
Additionally, bad live experiences survived by many of us may make us hyper-vigiliant in seemingly safe situations.
We need really a lot of patience for each other, in any community.

Well-said, thank you. Humor deficits are very common in the autistic community and weren't taken into consideration in my experience. I was gaslighted the whole way and have decidedly to permanently leave autism communities and won't be joining or participating in any after this month. My husband similarly left atheist forums years ago because he was bullied for being married to a theist (me).

Please don’t leave kdm1984. It is not a big community . And alternate points of veiw are appreciated by me. And would hope by others here . Diversity in autism should be relished by all participants here .

Loves velcro,
Apologises. I thought this thread was in the rants section.
Edit: All these years and I didn't notice the "Rants" thread was in The Haven forum.

I am sincerely sorry you feel that way.
All the best.

I don't.
I just pass a lot of things I couldn't understand here in reference as cultural gap.
Most of your posts to me are likely references I cannot pinpoint it's contexts.
But otherwise, not enough for me to find a lot of humor or possible offense.
And half it's meanings.
The rest is really just autism -- my own language comprehension, everyone else's various versions of language reading/writing, my circumstances and sentiments along with theirs, various versions of theory of mind, etc.
It's a lot of process.
It's also a hassle in most cases, so I'd just focus more on comprehension as best as possible.
Anyone with enough impulsivity can just forget the whole bit above.
Just jump to what one prioritizes, what one believes, thinks and feels, then just write in reaction.
That's how many are deemed 'insensitive' -- or the other way around who are calls everyone else 'insensitive'.
It isn't truly about functioning levels, it's about language and the fricking theory of mind.
I never equate a person's functioning level over their ability in language, or even their knack in academics.
Because, as it happens, one of those who finds this articulation gap as unfair.
I'm one of those level 1 with more practical functioning, yet my ability in words it doesn't match that.
There exists level 2 or severely disabled cases in more practical sense, more verbose and articulate, with tastes in words and references with those who are in 'level 1' than me.

And yet you have laughed at quite a number of my jokes.
Isabella Linton invited me there. I was hopeful it would be a good community. It wasn't. I have seldom been so disrespected and bullied in my life. I will NEVER return, and I strongly urge anyone there who is theistic to STAY FAR AWAY. Your autism will be questioned, your diagnostic proof will be removed, your intelligence will be mocked, and they will NOT support you. Insulting and disgraceful!
I am theist. I feel no fear of discussing faith and religious matters there. Although I expect to be and have been challenged anywhere I have gotten into theistic / religious discussions. Because it's to be expected. It goes with the territory. Many consider being a believer contrary to the pragmatism of an autistic mind. And I agree with them at least in my case. It doesn't follow that I should be a believer, and yet I am despite that. Many also feel the same regarding scientists who are believers. The two seem mutually exclusive. I wasn't there when that went on with you and the other person. But I've known that person for years. He believes in some things that seem contrary to rational and logic. And he knows that's how most people feel about it. There was a misunderstanding that took place. It happens, even in the best of environments. And you were only put on a 24hr ban to give you time to cool off.
As a side note several people on Neurovoice are also WP members. Including the person you had a falling out with. So this place isn't any "safer" in those respects.
I am very sorry you had a bad experience. And I'd like to do anything to help you out.
And documented as such . Something as simple as a emoticon or the words , said in jest , etc. , would not be
Too much effort , to keep a smooth flow of communication .
( am still practicing my own mind reading skills to this very day ).
This is the kind of rude, over-the-top condescension you would likely experience:

As they are a new site .... might refrain from quoting things from their site .. obviously they are still growing .
And if would appear they are suffering some growing pains yet . Not be aware of how they are set up .?????
Am going to refrain from further comments on that site . Thank you for the updates . This is only my own opinion.
It was setup by people who complained about feeling bullied here, so if they're already having issues with bullying new members they might want to consider how that reflects upon them as well as if perhaps some of their issues here were due to their own attitudes and behaviours.
Not so. Most of those who were involved with its set up never complained about being bullied here that I know of. A lot of them use the same username they have on WP. Anyone can check out who's there and see for themselves.
One doesn't have to choose one forum over the other. I enjoy being on three autism forums.

People’s can be entitled to their feeling on each and every individual event they go through ?

Loves velcro,
Yes agreed, the police literally class you as vulnerable when you're alone. It's good to try to learn about this kind of stuff in general though so you can protect yourself mentally and physically.
Plenty of women narcissists out there yes, I'm currently having to deal with one over the road from me. She is the most evil person I have ever encountered in my entire life. She's abused everyone around her for over 20 years and lives with her mother who is an even worse narc, then the dad who is even worse than the mother, it's actual madness.

The term Aspergers is no longer officially used in the UK - it is now regarded as High Functioning Autism.
I don't like when people put down others for not being able to get a clinical diagnosis and assume that those without one are high functioning. There are many reasons someone may not have a diagnosis. Assuming that everyone with a specific support level all have the same issues is also very disrespectful and unnecessarily puts autistic people into strict categories. This is shameful behaviour that I dislike seeing from other autistic people.
