I just can't wait till this time tomorrow where I can prove all these people wrong who are silly enough to believe all this hype.

With today's technology, we would have known how and when the world is going to end, with plenty of notice and preparation. What technology did these so-called Mayans have compared to what we have today?

Do you not have insurance in Australia?

i did not consider what you were talking about sufficiently to correctly understand your point.
i was derailed when i read the word "heirs", and i hastily imagined that you were referring to wills not being able to be carried out because a missing person can not be proven to be dead.

in light of my reassessment of your point, i retract my previous misgivings with reference to what i quoted that you said.

I should have used the word "benefficiaries" instead of "heirs". They aren't necessarily the same thing.

In any event, I seem to remember some insurance company offering such policies and actually paying off once. I suspect that paying off on such a policy was more of an advertising move than anything else.

you did use the word "beneficiaries" (with one "f") in your last post that i quoted, and so i suspect you have imbibed some alcohol prior to compiling your response to me. alcohol can drag even the best of minds down.

i am terribly sorry but i have never "seemed" to remember anything. either i remember or i do not. how can one "seem" to remember?
it may be better to not reply because i most probably will not understand.

Actually, I'll tell you a funny story. Some said the world was supposed to end at 2pm, and when it got to 2pm, my friend looked at her watch and said, ''it's 3 minutes past 2'', and then we heard all this rumbling and banging, and we both stared at each other with serious faces. But we were standing right next to a lift, and so we figured it was the noise of that. Nobody else heard any noise like that.

It's either the end of the world or a celebration that it's not the end of the world. Anyway, someone is launching fireworks here in Eagle Rock.

Or maybe they're just overjoyed that the day are going to start getting longer for a while...

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still here. Guess the Mayans didn't know best, after all.
