...Last nite,I decided lastish-moment togo to"another " day shelter/night sheltersset-up,an "over-50s only ",whileI was not dragging the ball& chain(as it's both down a hill a down a staircase,then you reverse it when the bus to the sheltercomesalong ...) , at the "main"shelter, it was all full up, even their "normal"secondary places-I did get sent somewhere and gotsleepbut not enough .
At thispoint,asI said,in theoryI could resume" normal"life at the shelter that took my ball& chain & barred me last night - I wassort of tellingmyselfI'd go to ahospital ER that I hadn't been to before,forone,to get - maybe? - the stiches out of one ofmy feet,which were supposed to be removed about a week ago ...........

If anything,Idid what Ido toomuch of,overindulged in "fun "/fast/deli food. One advantage about the " normal"placeis that - sort of-you can get WiFi there~ LITERALLY, by going to the front"lobby and going close enough to thewindow to pick upspare Wi-Fi on my "dodgy tablet" from acouple of nearbysmost notably a court building .
Pathetic ~ but it issomething .

....?.Again , at curfew time at that shelter ,nthe staffer onv claimed tonnage never heard of me being one night barred (as , as I told you , I was)...And , anyway , I did not get a bed .
Now I am in the waiting room of the hospital ER , waitingnto bebseen .
BI saw the second half of Gone With The wWind , on AMC , on the waiting room TV .
Frankly , even though I couldn't wait to get swsy from there , I am thinkinking that I might like to go back to Santa Cruz , after the toe situation gets resolved . The weather is warmer there and I might , still , be in line to get housing , and the social worker up here 2ho said shed help me in digging up the umpteen details I'd need to try to go to any kind of college at all is perhaps backing down from doing such boring stuff FROWN. .
I hate the grey skies up here FROWN .

...I went to a hospital , got some touching up , most notably removal of the stiches , butn got pushed back toward the street at six in the morning - with no referral to a shelter , nothing at this point (though I can likely go to that " over-50 " one I mentioned - However , they have been so crowded recently I've been sent to still additional places or even taken back to mdowntown and told to line up at City Hall(where there is a shelter line-up)) .
No place . No rest .
Just having more pills pushed on me by the hospital , and told " get a regular doctor/go here " .
I NEED HELP ! Meaning , at the very least , a place to stay , and leave my stuff during the day .
I will not carry my ball & chain around endlessly , like a good little breaking down wind-up doll/" Missouri mule " , as latter one my mother used to say ~ I went to one pharmacy by the Main Library to see if I could fill the perscription there , but the pharmacy part was closed - I'll try again Monday , but I won't go any further to try and get more f*****g pills ~ Medicos just push pills at you and go " Go to this appointment " and push you out ~ If they won't get me a place to rest and leaVE MY STUFF , i'M NOT GOING TO " BE A GOOD LITTLE CLIENT " AND GET MORE f*****g PILLS ~ i need a place to stay !

I'm glad to know that you have survived another night safely. Yes, you need a place to stay. I hope that you will
soon be in a safe place where your healing can continue without further disruption. I admire your perseverance, keep going, keep updating us on your progress as it happens.

What pills are they pushing on you? They might be necessary to ward off infection from your amputations. Not taking them isn't going to punish them for not finding you a place to stay. It's going to punish you with ill health & potentially much worse. If they're good for you and your health and healing, then you really ought to obtain them and take them as prescribed - even if you have to take them in the streets & wash them down with rainwater.

At least try the 50's place. It seems a better option than guaranteeing you spend another night outside.

I wasoutsidelast night/sleeping in a closed-down resturaunt enclave,as the 50-plus centerIwentto's fed-to shelters hadnospaceforme at all,I wastaken back downtown,I could have gone tothe City Hall shelter, but ,withmy ball & chain,I didn'twant to walk up and wait inline some moreI wanted to be alone and lie down sooner.

Last night I wasgoing tosay:
Iwent to the 50-plusday shelter,the shelter it feeds to had absolutely no space,in any sheltersin their network,for meorothers,soI wassentback to the take-offpoint.
I hadonce again received heat from others on the bus to the shelter originating from my ball & chain (luggage)& slownessfrom it,incidentally .
Now,with the tabletgone,I have even less .
I have only one set ofclothes,what I am wearing .
Ifpeoplewantmeto/I want myselftodo/change things,Imight (These might contradict):
IfI wereto " sleepin a tent in the hills",I'd need to get a considerable amount of equipment,new.
As far as"looking on (fillin name ofhipcool Internet-era sharing site here)"for stuff,without ANY portable Internet contactI am really fuckedand howcan I get a tabletagain ?
I have only one pair of shoes,what I amearing,too.
With the stichesnowoff the post-amputation feet,I consider that part ~ theinfection and my years ofworrying over it ~ over,moreofless,but I don'tconsidermyselffully healed,otherwise,body-wise.
If Iwereto get a USPS PO box,itwascost a considerable amount for the first fewmonths they demand you pay upfronnt .
If I wereto get storagefroma rentalplace,I'd certainly have topay somethingand possibly have to havemoney in my Green Dot fill-it-yourself ATM card for them tocal on .
If I wereto try and get new luggage,that could be more carriedas a backpack ~ Well,I'dhave topay for it .
If I was to try & "prepare & store food"more, as an HL person, somehow heating things up ,or, anyway, ,preserving food to eat while homeless, saving money not spent asmuch in fast/"fun"foodplaces-I'd have to get cooking/preservation equipment,which wouldcost money .

I thought those things were forever.

...As for Santa Cruz , my UNDERSTANDING (Not gonna disgress here , but...Anyway , best I know now , and I have thought about it !) is that the two years' probation either expired on/about Jan. 23d or maybe now .
Checking that is one of the things I asked Jean to check , but it is more complicated than the immediate " get my Greelyey/etc. 70s stuff " .
