At the risk of sounding like a big cliche, I get lots of "stuff" but the things I really want I can never have.

You got some awesome gifts, TW1ZTY. How is that Criterion Night of the Living Dead? I have the old, Romero-approved edition with the red case. I'll probably stick with that, but I thought it was really cool Criterion put out an edition.

Tomorrow maybe you can check out this guilty pleasure song I like?

My partner is a big fan of Hansen so I've heard most of their songs quite a number of times.
They're not bad, but I did get to the stage of "If I have to listen to another Hansen song I'm going to kill you!" at one point.

Hey, at least it didn't make you want to kill yourself

I haven't watched it yet but I bet it'll be great. :D Both that and Carnival of Souls came with free posters. 8)

Night of the Living Dead, Carnival of Souls, and Nosferatu are my top three favorite black and white horror movies. I also like Psycho and House on Haunted Hill. :)

And yeah MMMbop is a very perky optimitic song which is why I like it. :)

Nosferatu is awesome. I have an old Kino DVD of it. I think it's very creepy, which is impressive. It still works today.

I completely agree! And personally I think it's a much more effective horror movie than Dracula. Count Orlock looks terrifying and he even brought a death plague with him that killed so many people.

I also enjoyed the fact that instead of the man rescuing his woman like in every other movie (including Dracula when Harker and his buddies saved Nina), in a way Ellen was the real hero who sacrificed her own life to lure Orlock into the sunlight and destroy him. She saved the whole town and her husband Hutter. I also liked the pure innocence of her character like when she got sad when Hutter picked her some wildflowers and she said "Why did you kill such beautiful flowers?!", also it was interesting how she seemed to have a psychic link to her husband and could sense when he was in danger like in the scene where she started sleepwalking.

Such a good movie! :D
