It pays to be skeptical. I tend to double check things I'm told.

I went to Patterson from Santa Cruz, not San Francisco. SC is a small city at most, or a large small town. It is not a lots-of-large-buildings " urban " area as SF is. It has few if any such buildings, and is quite quiet at nights.
My objection, really, was to the conditions/set-up at the place - basically - not very much over Patterson. I went there intending to stay there, at least for a time.
What I tend to want now is a decent room/place - where I could have the things I have in storage, and my Bruh's things , etcetera. And comfortable sit/lie. Hard, with my crippledness . The point of there being few places outside to sit was valid . It was rather true in the (not officially licenced) Patterson place, also.

So if a place isn't licensed you would rather be out on the street. Is the street licensed? Sorry but the reasons you give for leaving room and board to be out on the street again makes no sense to me as someone who is seeking the same type of room and board. It's like if a place isn't a fully licensed 4 star accommodation, being out on the street, dealing with shelters, being robbed and frequent ER visits etc is a preferable option. But whatever, the story of your life is your business.

Once again you managed to get another WP member personally involved working hard to help you, to absolutely no avail, to where they finally gave up.

This has been going on here on WP for over 12 years now.

ASS-P, I want to ask you again to re-format your prescriptions.

It's free. The way to get it is to phone the Pharmacist on the bottle and ask for Dispills.

Maybe it's not called that where you live but you could copy the URL and read it to them. I'm sure there's something like it everywhere.

That way, you would have one week's pills on a letter-size sheet, in bubbles on one side, with the date & time (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Bed) on each bubble on the back. The sheet is perforated by day. You never have to sort the meds or read the bottles - that's already done.

So all you do in the morning is rip along the perforated line for today, and off you go. Less rush?

...The point is that a place.that claims the mantle of a therapeutic place, claiming authority over you bmjusufied by that...but is not subject to the regulations connected with that, because, as a non-licenced facility (of the kind they claim to be)...they're not answering to regulation ! !! !! !! !! That makes them rather dubious, I feel.
I seem to recall that when I first saw this post you were defending the Patterson place's lying to me about the availability of pt . I guess that went by the wayside when you edited it.

Blazingsrat was recently very ., very, helpful to me. However, recently she contacted me and asked me not to contact her anymore. She said sh" I was in a perpetual state of emergency " or similar.. It was not a thing of " you did not do something that she felt you should do " as your language suggests.cShe had done some very major favors for me - but I was not asking her to do them again.
I was asking her to send me information in writing regarding some things. I asked to tell me the specifics of what paperwork I would need to bring to the Social Security office to apply for a new card. Just facts in writing - she was in a position to know that It is more complicated than you might think. Communication involving that request was the last exchange I sent her before she sent the reply to cut me off, IIRC. This is, I think, the very kind of " doing some for myself " that people like you. I believe, berate me, claiming I do not do them ! ! I just as red information in writing that would help me do that - that's all . She also made a comment here regarding my status on the housing waiting list here that she had not said to me. I asked her to tell me about if in a personal E-mail too - She did not. That is what transpired - My asking for verbal information apparently led to her just feeling so oversubscribed that she decided to ask me not to contact her anymore. That's what happened.

I simply think having a place to live is better than living on the street. The way you describe living on the street sounds extremely worse than what you described about the care home.

It’s not complicated, if you have the proper ID. It’ll take you a few hours in many places. And you’ll get a temporary until you get your permanent.

If you don’t, then it can get complicated. But, usually, social workers can fix that for you.

You can probably get a copy of your birth certificate online if you were born in New York State. It will cost about $50 or less, depending on the website.

Have you noticed that most everything seems to be 10 times more complected and dramatic than it should be or needs to be?

Yep it's not an hour long tv drama. It's a 12 year long forum drama that's pretty much been the same stuff in countless threads. Posts made years ago are hard to tell apart from current posts as far as the general constant state of urgency theme goes.

Most of those who have been on WP are autistic. But nobody has come anywhere close to creating countless dramatic threads of perpetual crisis.

I have never seen you come remotely close to the OP in what you post, so what I said could not possibly apply to you. Really it is what so many members have gone though and been put through over the years that is irksome.

You haven't read my truth because it would be unacceptable to you and other 'chin-up' types. I am not free to speak here, not totally.

Your own posts seem to condemn OP's failure to be exactly like you, to have your strength, determination, ability to walk a straight line. That's not going to happen, not to OP and not to me. I've given OP advice, too, hoping he will take it, even though I know better. But OP is allowed to exist and speak of it. We won't change him but we should accept him.
