I think that some of the games on the forum can be pretty useful for reviving tired Mojo's.

I did have a brief foray into the games forum yesterday.

I have made plenty of posts to try offing support, so I haven't been totally selfish and useless here I suppose.
But to be honest I'm here for me. In it for me. I don't converse in real life, so this is an alternate outlet. And it's a good pastime. I'm not really affected by most of the stuff people quibble about WP.

This is my main outlet for conversing too. I understand needing a break, but I selfishly want him to stay.

I tried.

WP has been my social outlet for almost 5 years.
Don't know who I'm going to talk rubbish to now.

I motion to create a "Raleigh needs to talk rubbish" thread. Do I have a second?

You do what you need to do Raleigh.

Raleigh can talk rubbish or curse at me any time he'd like.

It's fun if you can get on a roll with someone in some of the word games (I think).
It's challenging, to be ridiculous and creative with someone else, and I get absorbed enough with them sometimes that I can't really think about my drama. I think me and auntblabby went back and forth for five days straight on one of them once. I felt like a lunatic, laughing constantly for a week while I tried to come up with something equally ridiculous to say, and attempting to do it without repeating any words.
Other than that, my own level of interaction with anyone here or anywhere else is almost non-existent.
Anyway,
I wish you well.

Not everyone is versed in curse.

I for one think it would be fantastically ironic if we made this Raleigh's favorite thread on the whole site.

Thanks.
I used to have great fun at one time with blabby and deephour and a few others.
I'll keep it in mind.

Negatory.

This planet contains enough Raleigh rubbish, think of the global warming.

OK, maybe I was focusing too much on my own negative thoughts when I made this thread.
There are parts of WP I like very much, number one being the awesome, supportive and interesting people here.

Yes, Elliot Rodger and that other person are "pretty dang real!" And you have to watch out for them. I don't deny their existence.

What I'm saying....is that, in everyday life, you don't often run into these sorts of people. You do run into angry people, sure. Racists on "both sides." Usually, though, they express such sentiments when they've had too much to drink, or if they are on crowded public transportation.

People just have better things to do and think about, in my opinion.

There are some people on WP who feel like they are surrounded by these sorts of people. And I sense that this is because they encounter these sorts on the Internet, rather than on the streets.
Thanks for clarifying what you meant.
I pretty much agree with that.

Sorry, but the "Most Antiquated Communications Platform" award goes to ...

Yes, the fine art of speaking face-to-face seems to have diminished in importance when compared to the multitude of digital forms -- blogging, texting, tweeting, vlogging, and so forth. Wherever two or more people occupying the same room are conversing silently through their keyboards, then that is where the natural ability to speak has been set aside in favor of the artificial technology of electronic communications.
which could be a good thing for us on the spectrum if it was the right kind of digital form, like forums....

Unfortunately most of the platforms are nothing like that....

Yeah, we've become a society of people walking around staring at our electronic devices. I was staying at a State Park lodge last week, and noticed three youngsters from the same party sitting in rocking chairs in front of the main lodge building. Everyone of them was staring at their smart phones, not saying a word to each other.
An introvert's paradise!

I have seen plenty of people not just sit with their phone, but walk around staring at it, walking into things and almost stumbling into puddles because they only pay attention to the screen!

There was a family in the neighborhood that I saw some mornings on their way to their daily work, school and daycare. The two adults and the oldest kid (elementary school age) were walking with their eyes glued to the screen. Only the little one in the pram was looking around him. TBH it was a sad sight.

It's ironic that some talk about zombiefication in regards to TV, when phones have much more of that effect....
