My Father is P***y-whipped, no if's, and's or but's about it

Just something that I had on my mind since my last father rant that I wanted to elaborate on in more detail: the fact that ever since my father's been married, he's lost his pride and become nothing more then a stooge to my mother.

One example: He never asks his children to clean up just for the sake of it, but for Mom's sake. e.g. "You better clean this up before Mother gets home" or "Would Mom like this place looking like a dump?"

But the best example of all, has GOT to be...him confiscating my softcore magazines, even well after I turned 18! I mean, even up to THIRTY-TWO, he STILL confiscated a Hustler magazine I was keeping just because it had a short fiction story in it that I liked. But nooooo, he still gave me that B.S. line of 'Would your mother approve of this?!' because of the pornographic content of the rest of the magazine!

Well, no, but SO F**KING WHAT? Even if all I kept the magazine for was to masturbate to the pictures, then SO WHAT?! I HAVE *RIGHTS*! ! I'm NOT 14 ANYMORE!! ! *sighs* But at least that colossal a**hole had the MERCY to let me keep that short fiction story, which he X-acto knifed out of the magazine.

Bottom line is, marriage turns men into f**king WIMPS! It can make a man go from 'I'll do what I want because I'm my own boss' to 'Yes dear! Coming dear! Anything for you, dear!' It's pathetic.

And if any of you married members on WP have a problem with that, then go ahead: tell me to my face that I'm wrong, I dare you.

I'm sorry that happened to you; I respectfully disagree about the effects of marriage... that is the choice of the man involved, not a rule.

My father does the same sort of thing. I strongly suspect that it's not because he's desperate to please my mother, but because he's too much of a coward to speak out openly about what bothers him, so he complains about the issue in the guise of considering my mother. Could this be what your father is doing?

My dad does the same sort of thing too, and get this: he's been divorced for over three years!

He SAYS stuff like, "Mum doesn't want you doing such-and-such," but he doesn't actually STOP me doing what I want. Like, he let me and brother watch Borat on DVD, and he said, "I shouldn't be letting you see this, Mum would go mad if she knew," but he still let us watch it, so I think he only says the obligatory "keep Mum happy" line before making his own decisions anyway.

Try using the "Mum isn't the boss of you" line.

And obviously, I wasn't considering married men from the south, who pretty much qualify as wife-beaters, and aren't P-whipped at all.

people do stupid things like hide mags under the bed. parents will always know that theres a space under the bed, but they will very rarely bother going through your boring stuff, so... thats where you hide whatever needs to be hidden.

And you know what REALLY brings my piss to a boil, regarding that thing about Dad and my porn magazines?

My brother Dave has had over 50 times as much of those magazines as I've ever had, and much more hardcore then what I've collected...BUT MY PARENTS DON'T SAY OR DO A GODDAMN THING ABOUT THAT! No confiscating, no scolding, NOTHING! And they've cleaned his room several times, and KNOW about his collection!

So why do they pick on ME for just having a few Playboys? I'll tell you why...

Because I'm easier to bully around then my brother! They're afraid that if they confront Dave about it, he's gonna snap and have a meltdown, and maybe even try to overdose to death; whereas I, on the other hand, bend like an obedient dog and do what they want!

What, they think that just because I'm autistic, that means I'm gonna turn into a pervert rapist that sees women as pieces of meat, just because I have urges?

Well, too bad for them, I'm not a virgin anymore anyway. So f**k them. Seriously.

Actually, FYI, I HAVE moved out 2 months ago to the next town over, in an apartment all my own. And lemme tell you, it feels GREAT!! Not having my parents f**k with my head all day long is a tremendous relief! I can leave any kind of magazine laying out in the open without fear of them being taken away!

Still, my total freedom won't begin until both of my parents just bite the big bazooka.

Now I wanna move to Scandinavia so I can move out of my mum's house...

usagi1992, oh, your problem is solved? my mother was very firm about not messing in me or my brothers room. she was very into privacy and stuff, my dad was more of a snooper, divorced, lived at my mothers, so i had nothing to hide away at my dads. lucky

gina, meeeeeeh, you wouldnt get far here either you'd have to wait at least 4 more years BUT what makes scandinavia good is that once your 18 its very easy for you to move out either by
1. getting a student loan (that turns a big portion into a gift from the gvt if you pass exams) that will include payment for cheap student flats. once your out and at a flat, its easyer to move on from there.

OR

2. assuming working is trickyer for you cus your aspie, you take a stroll to the bank, get a print of the 0's in your bank account, and bring that to the welfare office. theyll probably tell you to get some other papers, but theyre all aquired in a day or two. payment includes, by law, a minimum flat, and if you find a nice one thats within the price limit theyll pay.
theres a LOT of bugs tho, cus they want you to get a job, but ever since i brought up aspieness (some months ago) things have gone extraordinarily smoothly. i even got more money and a 2 day-a-week job at the science museum :I''

Well, the humor in it is that in the south, redneck wives are the ones C**k-whipped, if there is such a term. At least the husbands in that genre aren't compelled to be nagged at by their wives. But all the rest of them, holy f***ing jumping s**tballs! Terrified that if they don't do as they're told, they're gonna lose access to the thing that, coincidentally, their condition is named after.

Sorry if I sound like a man-basher, but I'm entitled to my opinion.
