Horrible work schedule

I have made a lot of progress, but my work schedule is causing me problems. I work from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with Sundays and Mondays off. Its causing me a lot of problems with my love life to have to work every Friday and Saturday night, plus I don't see my friends enough, nor can I see my kids enough. My path to a better schedule is blocked by a lot of people with higher seniority who are well past retirement age, but won't retire. I have 15 1/2 years of seniority, but 16 out of the other 17 people in my pay grade have more. Any advice? I can retire in 3 and a half years at age 55, with an annual income from a part-time job and pension and investments of about $22,000. Then I can work another full-time job with better hours. Any advice?
