I think what really helped me when I was a bit depressed about being so different was that I just was myself despite what anyone said. My mom told me that I should change a bit so other people would like me, but I greeted the idea with a horrific look telling her that was like lying about yourself. She told me I was just vain. But, I stuck with it (i started about a year ago) and now I have got more comfortable around people. In fact, I have actually changed by just staying myself. And the change was all positive. =D I am much more energetic and happy and I talk much more, I have really good awesome friends that will tell me when they think I am going to do something innappropriate or downright stupid.
I dunno, it worked for me. Though I still get frusterated when I lose stuff, or forget and when I just cant focus anymore no matter how hard I try. and sometimes I just feel soooo lonely (i think the ocean inbetween me and my friends kinda helps to). Its hard, but things usually look up if you have a good attitude. =)
I like your username too. =D
