Hello folks, this has been a scenario that has frustrated me for some time now and it still upsets me . . .

Starting around Oct. 2007, I was playing World of Warcraft on one of its RP servers, and i came across another player, of opposite sex, and it started a very long online relationship of sorts. It started with our characters' storyline and eventually we as players got closer (least i think we did). This went on for almost a full year, nearly sun up to sun down (given my lack of job at the time). Several months in i was interested in a face - to - face (we had emailed pics to eachother and used an online voice chat service). That issue came up a few times, but given travel prices it was shot down. However, time went on and she just one day didnt have anything to do to me. I knew she had some issues online with other guys vying for her attention but a simple, "Bye, and thanks for a good year, but i cannot keep up with the drama," would have been appreciated. Since then, Ive tried /whisper her but she never replied. I really liked her, but i dont understand why this happened. This happened prior to finding out about my AS. Communication seemed to stop altogether when i mentioned it. :(

I still miss her company as she was one of the good natured players, and i dont know if i just deluded myself into thinking she was interested in me (likely as a result of the AS, taking things literally).

Typical of online "friends". I had the exact same kinda situation with someone I RP'ed with regularly for close on a year. I know it isn't face to face contact but the lack of consideration for online people's feelings is unbelievable.
