My morale is incredibly low right now..and I feel like one of those members whose posts get ignored
I feel like whenever I post, the green square turns white because my username has appeared because I am one of the more annoying and less intelligent WP members.

I spend hours stuck here when I need to be doing other things. I am terribly stressed out and depressed, and I feel like I am growing more and more inept every day. I shut down when confronted with simple tasks.

I am filled with negative thoughts about myself and self-destructive thoughts pop into my mind when (for example)...I can't find the packing tape.

I realized today that we have to leave at 6a.m. to go on a sail boat race and won't be back till Sunday....that I have said from the start I didn't want to go on...With Flakey and his parents (who of course, think I am strange and don't particularly like me....and I am completely inept and can't help sail the boat..but I am signed up and haveto go)

I am completely unprepared....completely resistant and freaked out by it...but at least it will peel me away from WP.... :?

Cheer up, Poopy--I like you!

I like boats too, and miss the fun I had as a child growing up on the shores of Lake Erie.

I'm sorry you're feeling so overwhelmed and unhappy at the moment, poopylungstuffing. I've never seen your posts as annoying or unintelligent, and I'm sure that other people here don't, either.

I hope that your sailing trip turns out better than you think. At the very least, some time amidst new scenery and fresh air should blow away some of these sad cobwebs. :)

Try not to stress, take care. Jenny

Yeah..I probably need some fresh air...I live in a windowless building and have been more and more resistant to going outside lately...unless absolutely necessary

I've never PMd you or anything before, but I've noticed your posts and I never thought you seemed stupid or annoying. I can relate to you on grappling with issues of polyamory. Sorry you're going to be stuck somewhere you don't like for so long; remember "this too shall pass!"

remember how we loved your "Ike the Hurricane?" Remember our long threads on lost/strayed/stolen saucepans? Remember all the superhappyfunland chatter?

Poopy, we love you! And our brains are already rotted, so you fit right in! :D

Poopy, maybe staying indoors so much is part of the reason you're feeling so down- humans aren't really meant to live without regular fresh air and natural light. Perhaps you need to start scheduling some regular outdoor walks into your day. :sunny:

By the way, your post certainly isn't being ignored, is it? :)

I like you too! Don't be sad! Wish I had something better to say.. for some dumb reason I have a headache, though. I think I've been grinding my teeth or something. Or like clenching my front teeth. Something like that. :? But it made my head hurt, so I can't think much.

"I am one of the more annoying and less intelligent WP members." - No Way.
Poopy, I'm going to have to "argue" with you about that   I don't see you that way. Kathy doesn't see you that way.

Yeah, that can happen.

Oh, kiddo, it really is a low time for you :(

Well, tell ya what, try to get lost in the sky and the wind and the sounds of water slipping by the hull and wind in the sails. There is nothing else, just you and those.
It has worked for me, and even though you are not me but are you, maybe it will for you too?

If nothing else, I go down by the tracks and just zone out watching trains. 8)
(we have tracks along the riverbank here)

Poopylungstuffing, there are people out here to whom it matters how you are doing.
Even when it doesn't feel that way.

Here, The G-man say "{snif snif} hi, watz wrng?" and Mighty MoMo says "yokay?".

Thank you....nice kitties!

I have trains too...but the horns are wayyyyyyy too loud for me to watch them too closely.

I live on a major rail line.....trains trains trains night and day going to and from the ship channel and Port Arthur.

Lately a whole lot of army vehicles

(the guy in the pic is my Army-surplus-obsessed ASish friend) He looooooooves the army trains (as against US Militarism as he is).....and is wearing the mask because he had posed for a picture on the rail cars while they were stalled.

Here we are talking about the trains (mind you, we are both in our mid-30's  )

Human beings are full of idiosyncrasies - keeps 'em interesting.

(we must befuddle the blazes out of the aliens  Hey little green man, you think you're going to figure us out? Good luck!)

That boxy tracked vehicle with angled front there at beginning of video is an M577 Command Post with lots of communication gear and a tent extension that comes off the back.
My brother is an Army intelligence analyst and has often had one of those as his "office" out in the field.
Dang, I remember when we were kids building models of the things.
We won't talk about how long ago that was.

Depression skews all perspective, though that rarely helps mired in it.

On a more personal note, I've found that when I see your name attached to a post, that I am more likely to read it... generally, the topics tend to be more interesting. I don't always comment in every thread (otherwise I'd never get to work) but just wanted to share that with you.

Hey, southwestforests here ghostwriting for my wife who's not able to do the computer right now.

To her it sounds like all the changing of the office is a stress and the having to do the office things and the boat thing are too many changes and demands at once.

Now, what would help cope? :?
Being NT, Kathy isn't sure what to give as idea to help. She'd carry along something she likes to do that is "purse portable" (you oughtta see her "purse" 8O it's more like an army backpack) but knows different people need different things.

bubbybird:
Uh-oh, sounds like enough building up to become a meltdown situation.
What do you do when you have a meltdown? Is there something it would work to do that ahead of a possible meltdown to head it off?

Is there a portable CD player you can carry? Put some "I dreaming take me away from here" music in?
Kathy reminds me that Hawaiian music does that for me.

And there's the classic of stop and take some deep breaths.
