Crappy Thanxgiving...

I have a splitting headache and I can't get the taste of burnt ruined vegan Shepherd's pie out of my mouth...also, I can't sleep, for the life of me....I am also mensy....I am having relationship problems that I am not able to talk about with anyone, and if I try to do so here, nobody will understand...My very good friend has been sick and skipped thanksgiving completely...and my main partner has a new relationship blooming...and that is all very well and good...but the timing has been pure chaos...and tonight has been pure chaos...and our vegan Thanxgiving potluck that we spent so much money on was kind of a disaster, and there has been the drama of an acquaintance of ours banging on the door at 3 in the morning, having gotten in a fight with her abusive ex...and blah....alll this other stuff....I wish I had someone to talk to, and I wish..um....that...I could get away for a while or something....yes I know it is all my fault for choosing not to live in a convent or a shoe box...but still..I like to vent.....

I hope you're feeling a bit better now. If not, maybe some time to yourself with some good music will help you get your mood back to where you want it. I definitely don't have enough experience to give relationship advice. But if you need someone to vent to privately, feel free to PM me.

From your posts and youtubes, you seem like a one of a kind person. Anyone who knows you is lucky to be in your company. Try to keep that in mind when things get rough. I hope the rest of your weekend goes well.

Am still not feeling better...am still not able to sleep, but I was able to talk to my friend before he had to go to work...and he was in a pleasant mood.

My relationship problems are not really that much of a problem..just a bit of the same old thing...I am overwhelmed by the same old thing....


Maybe if I try to read a book I can fall asleep, because my eyes get overwhelmed from having to focus and turn off...

Don't feel like a lone wolf about the messed up food. My husband smoked the turkey on the grill like he does every year and for some reason this year it was horrible! It burned. The meat was brown! Also, my daughter made an apple pie and she used real butter instead of margerine and the crust wouldn't work, so it was pieced together in the dish and then crumbled over the top like cobbler. The gravy wouldn't get thick. Four things got broken in the kitchen, and my mother in law came to dinner. You can sit by me on the 'screwed up Thanksgiving couch'. At least it's over for another year.

We have hired someone to do the dishes...Flakey is off to buy laptops...I was able to get a little sleep...I have been able to put the mentally slow 5-year-old who lives inside my head to rest...i am still in a state of complete inertia.....but I am feeling better....now to escape from my completely non-productive loop....

I'm sorry to hear that poopy, I always thought crappy thanksgivings were my specialty. Just out of curiosity, did you ever find entropy?
