The onset was so sudden, and it's excruciating (and embarrassing, I won't go into detail as to where it hurts.) Anyway, it looks like I'll have to get surgery, and I don't have health insurance. I'll have to pay out of pocket. This is insane...

I know others have problems that are far worse, I just thought I'd vent a little. Uhg....

My dad had hernias a few times...luckily in Canada, health care is free.

Get the surgery... you can work out a payment plan with the surgeon, if necessary. It is an easy operation. Besides, you do
not want to end up with something serious as a strangulation of your intestines. That is much more painful and more serious!
