This is something I struggle with at times. Adding up all that I've been through, sometimes I just hate everything and everyone. I begin hating people for nothing more than their capacity to cause harm. It's a sense of misanthropy which extends beyond humans, towards anything that resulted from natural selection.

I guess you could say that goes toward hating life itself. I don't like feeling this way, and it distresses me more than anything. It's just that this isolation, the constant rejections to friendship and dating, it adds up. It begins to weigh on me, and I wonder whether it's me or them, and if I'm justified in wanting to watch the world burn around me.

When I watch news stories where hundreds die in a terrorist attack, I don't know whether to be happy or sad at this point. When I see compassionate acts, I don't know whether to be joyful or angry. I just don't know what to feel anymore. I don't even know what I should feel...

There is no humanity. It died in the 70s.

'What do you want to do to the world, Ronald?'
'Burn it, burn it all.'

I'm indifferent to humanity; as long as they leave me alone, I'm cool (I leave them alone).

I would suggest that you quit watching the news. I can't watch it anymore, because it just seems like a bunch of lies, which is especially sad in the U.S. because we're still being taught that it's a free country.... I don't know, maybe people are starting to wake up.

It's just like Daniel was saying in his video - You don't have to be a part of it. Maybe if you're happier with your life you will attract the right people into it.

There is some good news. Latin America seems to be gaining independence finally, but all this is amongst a lot of bad news.

I do not like society. It reminds me of the Borg in Star Trek. Firstly as I was born in the 1960's and grew up in the 1970's it was the bad old days for AS people and other social and ethnic minorities. People with disabilities were often deported to a concentration camp and since I was classified in that category I was very nearly deported to a concentration camp but my mum chose not to have this done to me. Also during these bad old days society was racist as well both institutionally and directly. Society then as it is now is really a bunch of post industrial barbarians. It for the middle age aspie actively encourages aspiphobia and neglect but things have improved for the younger aspie. From 1966-74 I was treated like I had AIDS or cancer and was pitied which encouaged aspiphobia both direct and institutional. No one cared then about the issues of AS and other social minorities as these were often a stigma against anything that not ordinary or neurotypical and stigma is Nazism. I find it suriprising that society has survived the 1970's without blowing itself up. amongst the great apes and humans are the most evil of the great apes. There are some very kind people out there but you would have to travel that extra mile to see one and now not all neurotypicals are aspiphobes I have met a couple of neurotypicals in my time who were aspiphiles. Those are few and far between. .

Hate is a powerful and consuming emotion. It will take control of lives and cause people to do stupid things. It separates people and makes them mistrust one another. It also spreads faster then the H1N1 virus.

Our AM radio talk shows spew forth hate, same with our news and politicians. Blaming the world problems on others... It's the illegal aliens fault, it's the Christians fault, it's the Chinese fault, it's the Liberials fault, etc ... always blaming problems on someone else. One day people will wake up and realize, it's all our fault. Personal responsibility is lacking in today's world.. it's easier to hate & point fingers.

Sure, kill everyone else.. so you can sit and fester in your own hate. Or take the high road and do something positive to make the world a better place.

I am naturally a happy, upbeat person if left to my own. (I too don't listen much to news anymore because of the negativity.) But I have seen those who want to take this good spirit away from me if I share it. So I have had to hide behind a wall of negativity to save myself. There are people who will do things like this and then project their ills and negativity on you and say that it is you instead of them. Very tricky and crazy-making if you spend too much time around those who are of this nature. I believe there are good people out there who won't try to steal your spirit, in one way or another, but they may be few and far between. I am going to nurture my joyful spirit despite their attempts to take it from me and try to rekindle my faith in humanity, even if in all truth it is near non-existent. Good luck to me!

Humanity as a whole actually leaves me completely indifferent. No hate, but certainly no love either. There are a few people whom I positively love (my Mom, sister, two dear friends), and another few whom I like rather much (family, acquaintances), but the rest of humanity often seems cold, callous, and, to a significant extent, rude, snotty, and arrogant. This in itself doesn't cause me to feel hatred towards them, however. To hate is to care, and I don't really care. Because of this I'm probably a misanthrope, I don't know. I often find solace, though, in the following aphorism by a Dutch poet:

Often the great "humanitarians" and "lovers of humanity" display, in their personal lives, very clear signs of equally great callousness and inhumanity.

Hey there........I get what you mean. I often think these things myself........but I also have my own peaceful philosophies. I am a fierce misanthropist and have very strong veiws which I rarely express(due to stunned and horrified looks from people). I am willing to concede that there are wonderful human beings, although I can count them on one hand

I have spent may years working on the idea of unconditional acceptance and I do believe in my spirit. As long as I behave honourably, I am indifferent to humanity.

And as someone mentioned, I stopped watching the news years ago. I do not need to see any more human depravity and manipulative agendas which I do not subscribe to nor understand.

Take good care Cerebraldreamer.........and love thyself.......because you can.
