I don't know who has experienced a situation like this: I work as a security guard at a parole office in Michigan. Oh, dont think i'm braver than most people with Asperger's, I am just "eyes and ears" there.
I use a lot of hand sanitizer. Someone, probably an agent from another office, told the supervisor that I wreaked of alcohol when they came in. Out of nowhere, MY supervisors showed up at the office. I knew it had something to do with me, but I couldn't for the life of me imagine what! They first spoke to the office supervisor, then brought me back to his office, and grilled me. "Have you had anything to drink in the last 6 hours? would you pass if we gave you a breathalizer test? I DID have some Nyquil at about 3am, and if I did that, I would blow numbers. They smelled my breath. Clean! they smelled my skin and clothes. Clean! They smelled the hand sanitizer, that didn't seem to be it. Uh-oh...suspension...until they decided what to do. I applied the hand sanitizer. They said, "that's it! That'exactly what I smelled when we walked in." Problem solved. But I can't stop obsessing about it!
