that relate to some characteristic you have like your age or whatever are directed at you?


when i see articles that say negative things about young people or if someone walks down the street yelling abuse (basically just insults) I always feel like it is directed at me and I can't help but feel like "I must suck" .

This tends to happen even when I have nothing to do with the problem or if it is unclear where the insults are being directed.
(eg there was a woman on the tram who was basically yelling sl&t! to every single woman she passed.)

totally bugs me because it doesn't make things any better for anybody.

I've decided to shut everything out, period. If I even start to think about what others might be gossiping about, I go nuts.

Don't feel too bad. Everybody talks. It's just talk. It's not God (or Oprah or whoever you believe rules the world giving you a final judgement.

How about when people laugh and giggle? I always feel like people are laughing at me.

occasionally i think that laughter is directed at me.

usuallly i think "what is so funny?"

that is a wise post neves.
