When I was a little kid I was really obsessed with fans (the kind that spin around and cool stuff) all the time. I have gotten over it but often when I feel anxiety I feel afraid I will go back to only being interested in fans again. Does anyone else have a similar problem? and what causes it? (I figured maybe under anxiety my brain tries to regress or something)

Why is that so scarey?
I'm older than you and I like fans too.
Did that actually happen?
Did you get scared once and then spend a long time just looking at fans?
You know...If you talk into a fan while it is on then you sound like a robot! :D
Its interesting how different fans look and sound different too.
Squirrel cage impellers are cooler but not as interesting looking.

We just like things, and subtle details others don't notice.

If fans are relaxing...
I think they hypnotize you to look at them and hear their sound...
That's what you remember is peaceful when you are stressed.

I'm also older than you, and I like fans too. (lol, I like talking and making weird noises into them too) I also have other obsessions. It isn't necessarily a bad thing to defuse your stress as long as you're not doing it to the exclusion of everything else. I tend to bury my head in the computer, so I sometimes let my 9 year old play games on it so that I don't exclude everything else. But it's okay if I like it. And it's ok if I like fans...and you too :)
