Life is what you make of it. I only have a handful of friends I don't care, I can't trust most people, I don't have a significant other, I am very akward to be around. But life is life, the thoughts and images I come up with in my head seem to be more real and enjoyable then the real ones. So I can daydream, and it helps. Try to have an escape from the stress, don't let it get the best of you. I have had to live with the consequences when I let me anger and depression get ahold of me, and let me tell you it's not worth it.
