I keep getting these headaches. They are horrible. I feel overwhelming anger when I get them. I lash out at everyone, even my kids.
It feels like my brain is shaking and vibrating down my spine. It feels like there is a giant pressure pushing down on my head. At times I can't stand up the pain is so bad.
The allergist (there is a theory the migraines are allergy triggered) gave me amytryptiline for them. The amytryptiline did nothing. I stopped taking it at my general practitioners advice.
The headaches started to get worse. I could do nothing but cry the pain was so bad. The allergist told me to take 4 amytryptiline.
The next day I felt like i was living inside a pillow. The world was foggy. I couldn't think straight. :shaking: :shaking: :shaking: :shaking:
The next night I figured 4 was too much so I took 3.
I became really really out of control suicidal. It was all I could do to watch the kids. I'd be in bed as soon as, or 10 minutes before my husband got home from work. I was in hysterical tears, crying 'till I threw up, shaking, wailing. It scared my kids.
I stopped taking the amytriptaline.
Last night my husband said he was tired. he said he was going to take a nap
I fell on the floor screaming . :pale:
My husband wanted to take me to the hospital. My daughter started screaming she didn't want her mommy taken away.
I told my husband to take the kids to his brothers houes for the weekend so I could get some sleep.
I still have headaches. I am exceedingly tired. I'm off and on suicidal.
What is wrong with me?
I can't live with the headaches anymore.

Ask your doc for a script of Neurontin or Lyrica. See if one of those helps.

I have very similar headaches, with the exception of the depression. Pain, crushing tearing pain, it's a nightmare.

Now, if you've been depressed before, these drugs are NOT for you. They are classed as CNS depressants, which is the worst thing someone with clinical depression can take. If you've never had trouble with depression (until this started of course), talk to your doctor about either one of those. They may look at you funny when you tell them the people on the internet say they may work, but ask him for even just a week trial of one. The Neurontin take a bit longer to work, so if you want quick, take Lyrica. However, those give me some freakish mood swings, so watch for that.

I find it weird... you have some allergy too. I'm apparently highly allergic to something, my IgE levels are over five times normal. But none of the normal antihistamines seem to work.

Good luck to you.

Hasn't anyone thought about giving you an MRI? I hope you seek a second opinion as soon as you can.

Definitely a neurologist ASAP! Lyrica/Pregabilin works within the nervous system to disassociate the pain the same as Amitriptyline/Elavil. They whack me out and wreck my nervous system just the same.
