For the last two weeks I have been not been feeling myself. For one, I have felt somewhat lethargic (tired throughout the day, even 1-2 hours after I have woken up). I usually sleep from 1-7:20 AM.

Two, I have not been myself in social interactions (in that I am not communicating as well and I see myself speaking in disjointed sentences all the time).

I have also been more sensitive to sensory overload than usual. I have gotten to the point where I cant even look a person (even on a computer screen in the face). Music and anime that I like seem less enjoyable for me. I had trouble walking around the local mall this last Wednesday because of all the noise, and usually I am happy to be there and drown out all noise and light.

I have been more grouchy with my family than usual. For example, my dad recently has been wanting to walk with me to the bus stop in the mornings, and I usually tell him "No, I'm ok."

In my Japanese class, when asked a question, I am making mistakes more than usual

I just generally haven't been with the program.

Last night, my head started feeling like it was "ringing." It feels like someone is ringing a tuning fork in my head. My tinnitus seems to have gotten worse also. There is a spot near the top of my head on the right side where it feels like something is pressing down on it (but it doesn't feel like a headache). I have periodically developed a slight fever (at least I felt uncomfortably warm) over past week or so, but it went away after I drank a glass of water.

My family is having some problems right now. My little sister is in the final phases of breaking up with her husband. She got pregnant from him, and I am worried about what will happen for me when she has the baby. She was supposed to move to Cincinnati to stay with a friend, but apparently that has fallen through. I havent been on good terms with her for a while.

Another source of stress for me is my family's upcoming relocation. My dad recently found a house, and we are moving in about three weeks. As a result of my sister's change of heart, she is going to be staying with my family. I am going to be losing my room because my other sister wants her own room, and there are only three bedrooms in the house. So I am left with a stark choice, sleep together with my dad or out in the family room. I dont want to give up my privacy, but I havent protested their decision. I am fretting about bus schedules as well for the new place.

On top of that I have some major research papers are due by the end of the month. Next month, I am going to be "completely swamped" with assignments and stressing out about simultaneous due dates and group presentations. I tried to include personal matters so you can answer this question with a holistic knowledge of my personal life.

What is going on with me? I am slightly hypochondriac, so I believe that the "ringing" in my head is a sign of an aneurysm, stroke, tumor, or something else life-threatening, etc.

Can anyone explain my symptoms? What is wrong with me? I am afraid to ask my dad, because I am afraid he will attribute it to something less serious (sinus infection).

I would see a doctor but make sure to relate all that's going on in your life. Stress can show up in many different ways and you have a lot to deal with right now. Stress should be taken seriously.

If you feel you should see a doctor, then do.

But it definitely sounds like the quintessential symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression, right down to psychosomatic response.

hey, he notices your distress and wants to help. Take that walk with him and talk to him about how you feel about your sister and her baby and why you think it means a change in your world. Just letting someone know that cares makes a big difference in how you feel. :D Really!

Is there a possibility that you have a sezuire disorder? I have one and that sounds like what I do when my sezuire threshold is low. Have you been taking any new meds? What about over the counter medications?
I remember when I took a weight loss pill and I could not speak straight and I was very confused and my performance in school dropped. My mom found the pills in my purse and took me to the doctor and he gave me a lecture about otc medications and how ppl in my condition should not be taking them without Dr. approval.

You mentioned feeling lethargic after waking...that is a sign of sleep apnea. A sudden onset of sleep apnea could cause alot of what you mentioned. You need to see your doctor. Have him run a EEG for possible seizures and a sleep apnea test. Also how is your appitite, have you been eating alot less. If so, you know our brains need calories to function. Oh and one more question...have you been drinking alot of soda instead of water. I remember one time I drank a bunch of diet sprite for quite a while and one day...I was so sick, tired and disorented. I went to the ER and they ran a full blood panel on me and found out that I was very very low on potasium. So the next thing you need your doctor to check into is a full blood panel which will check all your viatmin and mineral levels. If you get really low on just one of them...you can get really sick. But usually it is a quick fix...they will just prescribe you the missing viatamin or mineral in extra high doses.

On the subject of the possible sezuire disorder...there are different types of seizures. We are all familar with the Grand Mal sezuire in which a person goes into convulsions, but there are other types that are hard to notice.
Like the petite mal sezuire which is characterized by confusion, dizziness, "blanking out for a second", inablility to understand what someone is saying for a short duration of time (of course this can happen many times a day). Then there is the absent sezuire which a person...just stares into space is unconscious for just a few seconds to a few minutes. Then there is complex/partial seizure where a person is walking around and doing things but is unconscious...thus unresponsive.
There are also several subtypes of each one.

The reason I think you need to be thourougly checked for a possible seizure disorder is what you describe is the way I am for a few days to a few weeks after a sezuire or if I am having a series of petite mals. A person can go their whole life not knowing that they have a sezuire disorder until some other factor causes their sezuire threshold to be low and then they have a series of sezuires. Usually when you have AS and a sezuire disorder...sezuires can cause the AS symptoms to be noticeably worse...of course so can a lack of sleep or sleep apnea, mineral levels being very low, and some medications and over the counter medications.
So get those things checked

There is no way to tell. I would have to go visit a doctor. Since my sister is pregnant, I don't want to divert attention away from her.

There is a new development. My shoulder twitched slightly while I was walking to Gamestop today to pick up Pokemon HeartGold. I have a tingly feeling all over my body today (it is a good feeling tingly sensation, I can feel it in my shoulders).
The "tuning fork vibration" in my head is mostly gone, but I feel like there is some sort of vibration-feeling coming from the top of my head. There is a very slight inclination that feels like shaking, but it is not a big one.

I really wonder what is going on with me?

It sounds to me that you are both slightly stressed AND slightly depressed. This would be a natural reaction for an Aspie facing so much change and upheaval. However it is uncertainty that does this - once the change has been made and you have settled down into a new routine, I think you'll be back to normal.

We're all going to die, I'm afraid. I don't think it's your turn just yet, though.

If you are on anti-anxiety meds or anything like that then I'd suggest talking to your Doctor just to make sure the dosage is right.

You're most definitely going to die, and with that out of the way, no, not from your current symptoms, however.

Your concerns are actually very nonspecific IE they can be attributed to too many different potential causes to be pathognomic of any one particular "threat," theoretical or otherwise. Further confusing the picture is the fact that you seem likely to be overly attuned to physical states.

All of that having been said...

From the very little information in your post, I'd say that the four strongest likelihoods are (in no specific order): pending outbreak of shingles/zoster (can happen when you're stressed physically and/or mentally); exacerbation of underlying depressive state; medication-related cause; cervical nerve impingement.

Of course there's a plethora of other possibilities, but I'm willing to bet ten cyberbucks  that it turns out to be one of the preceding, or a multifactorial process including at least one of those. Cranial zoster can be particularly difficult to identify because there isn't always the rash outbreak that people expect.

As far as whether or not you are going to die....I hate to tell you this, but Yes, you are going to die.

Eventually.

But not likely from any of what's going on with you now. Although I'm an ER doc with more than 2 decades of experience I'd like to reiterate the need to follow through with your own regular doctor. In the terrifically unlikely event that it does end up being something serious it often takes several visits/evaluations over a relatively extended period of time to make the final diagnosis.

That having been said.....I think that you're stressed out, mildly depressed, and perhaps coming down with an attack of something viral (such as zoster). I suppose you could have early labrynthitis or some variant thereof (check it on Wiki) but you don't really fit that picture as well as you fit the others.

Good luck...and do me a favor...let me know how it all turns out? Just for the sake of curiousity. The internet is no place to give or dispense meaningful health info/advice, so be sure and see your doctor.
