I had very weird obsessions when I was a kid (Riverdance, severe weather, theme parks, dinosaurs, etc.) and wasn't one of those boys who was into cars, sports, video games, or girls (I go on this site called Retrojunk, and if you talk about things other than video games or rock music from bands I don't really know or care about, you either get made fun of or ignored. Plus, it's not very accepting to the autistic community, so I wouldn't recommend joining there.)

I never liked being a "poor" kid (mostly because I went to upper-middle-class schools) and yes, I was one of those kids who wanted stuff they had, like video games, cable TV (didn't get until 2000), vacations to places like Hawaii or Six Flags, or youth activites that cost a lot of money.

I was put in special ed throughout my school years, and I hated it. Most of the teachers treated you like babies, hardly gave any positive advice, had very little social opportunities with NTs, got put in random classes or jobs I hated, got constantly bullied by the "bad" kids, and with the work study program I was in, I can't go to college or university.

I also regret making a Facebook page because I'm not the most popular person on there, I don't have like 300 or 400 pictures of myself or some exciting, eventful life to talk about, so I don't know what to talk about on Facebook.

I know this won't help but you could always be worse off.

Maybe if you try diversifying your interests, it doesn't have to be cars or football or any of that crap but getting into a genre of film or book might make small talk with NT's easier.

I agree with the forum issues though, it's like the layout itself brings out the worse in people  .

And to wrap up this motivate-a-thon: you don't need cash to do things, there are library's and forests and footpaths and parks scattered everywhere. Take your pick basically.

Yeah, sorry mate that post was a little inconsiderate in it's layout; I'm feeling a little frivolous today which is nice but unusual. I stand by what I say though, just try and diversify.

Can you take some extra classes now to make up for the stuff you missed, then maybe look into community colleges?

I never joined Facebook, for the reasons you mentioned plus others. IMO, remove the page and talk about stuff YOU'RE interested in here instead. :D
