Never " going to college "

Apart from never having completed/really gone to college , I AM down that I never got to " be a student "
People obsess over " Oh , so-and-so admissions officer will help you..." NOT ME .
I have PERSONAL experience of being f****d over by collge admissions...
If I could just get help Not talking of money , here...

Personally I think the whole college/university thing is way over rated. I have done it, and got little out of it. Really other then a reading list and assigned problem sets I could have done the whole thing with out ever going there. For me I didn't aim to high in respect to where I went albeit I did in my area of study.

Yes i did not finish, due to a break down in my forth and last year. As some places don't take kind to people that are not NT but thats my own experience.,Right now in our bay area most places are full with people since the economic down turn so it might take a while before you are let in.

I don't plan to go. It doesn't seem to be worth it and I'm not interested in it anyway. I want a job in electrical work, that wont require University.

I wont be able to call myself a student either...

Why not apply to a different college? Though to be honest, you only have to deal with admissions once, so you may as well try again if you like that one you're at.

People at my work (law firm) have gotten by quite fine with just on the job experience.
They took a trainee position and worked their way up(they are senior clerks now).

Depending on your choice of career, you'll find that universities arent always the best choice.

Plus it looks good on resume to have some work experience.

So even if you take years to finally go to college it might give you a better push in the workforce after you do make it through.

with the job market the way it is a lot of places dont want to hire college grads, they think they are entitled to 70,000 starting but truth be told, i do the same job for 40,000 ill be hired before a college grad

ASs far as " hire-ability " , if I was enrolled as a syudent in some way , as " a student looking for a part-time job " , even when I was , perhaps , taking some time off , I think I'd be " more hire-able/likeable , to the average would-be employer " , all other factors equal .
I'd have to have my health & stability & financial picture be in better shape than it is now , anyway , to try to apply ...
And , yes . I'd need help . Even leaving money out of the discussion ( for now) , help that is not money , too .

Yes, but how? Admissions don't have that much power. The most they can do is turn you down because you don't fit the requirements for the course or you haven't filled in the forms correctly. Are you sure your course is open to 'part time' students?

Even if you do think they have a personal vendetta against you and are misdirectig you, you can often get the information and forms on the web. If you apply online, they will treat you the same as any other student.

When you applied to college, did you write or talk the same way you write here?

You may want to get some help with applying if that's the case. Your posts are a bit hard to understand and I imagine a busy admission office will not have the time to deal with confusing conversations. They often have to deal with thousands of other applications.

No , I just filled out " 0 "s and wrote in numbers , etcetera .
