This is for posters who don't already have a job, or want a job other than their current one.

I'm considering becoming a biological anthropologist. I would measure old skulls and skeletons to determine the biological relationships between ancient and modern human populations. I also plan to do some novel-writing and drawing as a hobby (and maybe for extra income).

EDIT: Can someone please move this to "Random Discussion"?

I would like to work in a library. I've done it before, I miss it, and I finally have a chance to do it again. I am qualified to do counter work, but I'd rather just work in the stacks.

Stop-motion animator, I use to do it when I was a teenager but quit. I was starting to get good at it but I was always running out of money for foam latex, armatures kept breaking in the puppets, and waiting for super-8 film took a long time to get processed.

But now i know how to make stronger armatures, silicone is affordable easier to use alternative, digital slr cameras have replaced film cameras giving me an almost instant production that could be corrected in photoshop. stop-motion has gotten easier to do and I have all the time in the world to practise it but its hard for me to get going on it for some reason.

I would also be willing work over seas to do it. There are more and more stop-motion animated films being made every year there seems to be talk about new movies or comercials being done.

I'm on disability rite now but I've had a couple jobs in the past. Rite now I'd like to find something I can do fairly well & not be under a lot of stress. I have a couple disabilities besides AS thou so it makes it hard for me to figure out what I can & should do. I did floor care at WalMart for 25 months & I couldn't really use the machines or do the advanced stuff but I was good at the basics & assisting others & keeping taps on things. I gave it my all & I was the go to guy & an unofficial backup to my supervisor so realistically I think doing something like that would be a good choice for me if I can get in with a place that would be willing to work within my limitations

Ideally I'd like to get involved in something related to music. I was a DJ for some independent non-profit online station years ago & I was the most popular one cuz I was really random, weird, crazy & very politically incorrect. There was no money at all in it for me thou & I think regulations & copyright concerns would cause problems for me if I wer to try & do it for money. I did not have a format & played whatever I felt like or what was suggested or talked about in the chat board thingy. Comedy music is one of my special interest rite now but I have no musical talent but I do sometimes have ideas for songs & parodies. I think I mite would make a good assistant/helper for a singing comedian. They wouldn't have to pay me either. Just let me stay with em & cover my expenses like food & all. I could still collect my disability check that way. I chat with a few of em online occasionally & I make comments on a lot of their stuff. Maybe I could meet some of em one day if they come near here for tours or something. I know this likely want happen but I can dream/fantasize & the fact that I thought about it proves that I could probably be quite good if their was some kind of miracle & I had the opportunity

I've always wanted to be a film director, but its very unrealistic on my behalf.

Wanted to be a film director. Ended up being a visual effects and motion graphics designer. I still make little films on the side and maybe one day with a bit of effort on my part I might get into shooting commercials or creating title sequences.

I seem to be better at jobs where I get to hide in my office with a computer and not talk to anyone. This made working as a commercial photographer or film maker rather difficult, but it doesn't rule it out completely.

Something in the movie or TV industry, on the production side; ideally a writer/director. Just about every aspect of visual media production is interesting to me, though. I'm currently going to college for a bachelor's degree in digital video production.
