Tonight while going out I took my Ipod to listen too and kept telling myself in my head "ignore,ignore,ignore" (Yall know the rude comments and etc. family does so I did as I call the ignore technique) They then accuse me of oh you weren't in a good mood etc. She's like a 2yr. old child and refuses to grow up etc. SHEESH! They made a comment at me since I laughed and said I didn't care about the celebrity Lindsay Lohan on the cover of some tabloid IMO I said it to them and I repeat it now I DO NOT CARE AND SHE DID IT TO HERSELF! (Not sure if you know of the actress but went from sweet to jail/drinking/other issues. and again I DO NOT CARE! Yet parents got on my case. Sheesh I can never win!! !! Glad I can rant/vent on WP Thanks guys!! !!

Families can be terrible. I know how you feel. Mine is not understanding at all, and I end up having the same type of interactions you have just described. Whatever is going on I can be sure they'll find some way to say something is my fault.

And they're like a bunch of nasty high-schoolers who don't feel good about themselves unless they're putting somebody else down.

Nope, you can't win with some people, and it's not your fault. What's wrong with listening to your music and "not bothering anyone"?!?

My advice (if at all possible): keep ignoring them when they say that kind of stuff. I can be quite good at it and it drives people nuts. Pretend they don't even exist, or that their voices don't work, or...you get the idea.

Ya dad doesn't like the Ipod either it stays home or you. It's all you focus on! Oh what kind of mood is Brandy in today? I fake smiled and said a good mood (although I'm upset over a bad dream I had) So I guess I'm not going anywhere today. Perhaps try the ignore technique minus the Ipod we'll see how things go LOL!

I've just prayed for you, in hopes that your family members come to their senses. I don't like what they put you through.

You declared your indifference towards Lindsay Lohan in all caps on here. Did you declare it to your folks as loudly as you typed it? That might have set them off.

No. Sorry if it seems like I yelled on here but I'm just disgusted by my parents view on the issue. Sorry if caps upset some of you I use it to make a point and to add emphasis not in a yelling manner.
