AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Hearing my parents yell at my little sisters DRIVES ME CRAZY!! !! I feel so sad/bad for them!! !! DUH I know it's not psychologically healthy for them (I don't NEED a psychology degree TO KNOW THAT!) and yet if I step in with my view/opinion it will be an arguing against me/parents mom stresses this view "If you don't like it so much MOVE OUT!! !!" This is very upsetting and depressing to me (and they wonder why I'm depressed DUH!! !! !) It's driving me BONKERS! and is so sad to hear arguing from parents to the 10 year old!! !! (It's mostly the 10 year old that gets into the arguments with mom/dad) SHEESH!

Your parents sound more like little kids in grown up bodies than anything that could be considered a real adult. You seem to be more adult than they are! They know you can't just "move out", because your mom is your payee for your SSI check (look it up, it means she collects the check on your behalf) and keeps half of it for herself! First things first. You need to get control of your finances. You need to get control of your check. My mom originally was the payee for my check, but she voluntarily handed it over to me after about a year. Your mom won't, so you've got to consider your options. I don't know what to tell you to do, but you need to consult a lawyer.

Interesting. Thanks. but living under there roof I need to pay rent/utilities and my part (out of $705) I get about $322 which is kind of ok. That's funny you think they are kids in adult bodies LOL! Thanks!! !! If I move out with someone I'll consider looking into that payee SSI issue. My SSI is disability and I'm looked at as a disabled Child/adult (whatever that means) and they made my mom Payee. I mention if I move out she can give me my full check (to help pay a roommate) but she said she wouldn't do it and I'd have to go through the system to get it into my name. Thanks for all your support though.

My mom didn't like me butting in either when she be doing her job. She told me to stay out of it and mind my own business.

it's the same with work too between your co workers and your supervisor. When things are going on between them, you stay out of it. Even if you don't agree what the boss is doing or the co worker.

It's one of these rules in our life time they have. Staying out of peoples business so it's for siblings to stay out of their parents business when they are doing their jobs with their siblings. It's pretty disrespectful to butt in.

So this could be why they get so upset with you when you butt in to help. My mom did the same too as a kid and she also didn't understand why her parents get mad at her for it. But they never talked to her about it so she thought they didn't want her help and hear her speak so my mom stopped talking to them about her life and they all wondered why she was so secretive. But as a parent, she realized she was doing the same to me so she stopped and talked to me about it and explained all this to me.

My mom was an adult before she figured out why her parents get mad at her for butting in when she thought she was helping.
