Well my stomach hurts and I went to the doctor and was told
"It's an Emotional problem" well it freaking HURTS and I'm having diarrhea, vomiting and intermittent constipation(4 days of not being able to go and then 4-7 times in one day) and Fever 101.
Her solution do nothing but give me medicine for gas/cramps and run a test that will take 3 weeks to come back. Meanwhile my son who has Autism is having
You guessed it: Diarrhea, intermittent constipation, fever. He is miserable and I'm thinking her solution is going to be antidepressants and a referral to a psychologist.

I guess he's caught my emotional problem and my daughter has begun having diarrhea(she's catching my emotional problem I suppose) I'm just waiting for her to tell me "anger/upset raises the temperature of blood and causes fever you need laudenum for your nerves."

Wouldn't be surprised . . . stress does weird things to people. When I'm stressed, I feel like i need 2-4 more hours of sleep. Just sit down at some point, make a list of all you have been doing day to day . . . could be that you're just doing too much and need some time off (trust me, my mother went through a stressful time once and about everyone was miserable . . . luckily, nothing physiological though).

I know how you feel. I have a very hard time with my stomach, and I either get really bad constipation  and I have bad stomach pains sometimes. It's the most annoying things in the world. You are definetly not faking it, because I've had something similar when I was a kid, and I still have problems (sometimes at school I have a hard time eating without trying to regurgitate...) with it! Doctors shouldn't be ignoring your cries for help! To the symptom checker! Oh, sorry if this is embarrasing, but...uh...do you have blood in your stool? It could be Chron's disease...Anyway, I hope you'll get better!

I'm certainly no doctor. But I personally have found it frustrating with doctors. If you have any sort of "issue" like AS or depression they seem to think everyting is emotional or stress related. Definitly watch that fever!
Is it possible you have food poisioning? Just an idea.
I used to have alot of stomach problems and my wife had terrible migranes. We changed our diet and now its not a problem.
Hope you and yours feel better soon.

[putting on my doctor hat]

Stress can be a significant contributor to physical symptoms, and digestive presentations are no exception.

The two things that give me pause are the fever and the the development of sympathetic symptoms among family members.

Without knowing your medical histories, it is not possible for me to know what might be happening, but it don't think that it is unreasonable to treat the symptoms (hydration and salts for diarrhoea, analegics for fever), as well as rest. If the fever continues for more than a couple of days, if there is blood, or if there is pain that is not associated with muscle cramps, then there maybe cause to do some further checking. (Though it sounds like your doctor is already undertaking a parasite screening)

Sounds a lot like food poisoning. Especially if your son also has it.
