Apologies. I need to relieve some hurt.
How do you get rid of pain of not having warmth and nurture and love from parents, especially from your mother.
When you are not allowed to say it.
When you are supposed to be an adult and 'over' it.

How do you deal with that gaping hole, of nothingness.
You bury it and try to move on, but it is still there, unshiftable.
And then someone brings it up again IRL.

Just expressing my pain, this is my equivalent of sitting in the corner, curled up in a fetal ball and howling.
Which I can't do. I don't have that release in me.

I guess I feel much the same way. The trouble is I don't know if other people weren't giving me warmth and nurturing when I was younger of if I just wasn't capable of picking it up.
I'd like to have a rant and my parents for leaving me so broken and lacking in confidence, but I can't say for sure if it is actually their fault, or mine, or no ones at all. I don't know how to deal with the fallout from such a discussion either, so the safest thing just seems to be to leave it.
But the thing is I then feel like I never get the chance to show people who I really am or how I really feel, as I have to be 'nice' all the time.

Everyone spouts things like, 'Suck it up', 'Move on', 'Just do it', 'Life isn't fair', etc, but that doesn't leave me any the wiser in what to actually do.

Can anything actually be done, or do people just end up permanently stuck?

Thanks for replying.

My emotions have stopped screaming at me at such a level. And I am ready to shove it all back down again.

I have no answer on how to evolve.
My only way seems to be to wait until pain gets unbearable in current situation, then take a massive step into some new, extreme learning curve situation (for me).

But my life feels like a car crash. It is possible or even probable that I'm learning things, yet I don't know if it will ever be enough. I think I have to keep presenting my horribly deformed soul to people and hope it will grow in the light of day.

I'm not great at accepting warmth and support, because it seems fake, it doesn't compute with my experience or possibly inside workings. So I'm bad at picking it up, but I suppose I do believe my mother has too many tics/insecurities to be able to offer love.

I've been there too. A violent alcoholic father and an emotionally abusive mum who I think has some sort of personality disoder. My mum was not the loving nurturing parent at all but the critical control freak (she stll makes excuses for the psychological abuse). I still experience the abuse (both physical and psychological) in flashbacks years later. I dont think anyone gets over that no matter how long ago it was
