Find ways to put your signature to work ...

However small or great they might be, and in spite of all difficulty, our own purpose in life and happiness can be found there.

Yes... I have been so close minded to everything I haven't been able to explain or claim right away...

I sometimes feel lost, for instance - these quotes are great, but how would one go about feeling them and having faith in them, and themselves?
I'm very inconsistent.

Yes, samtoo, you can move on after being terribly hurt by someone. And yes you can forget things or at least not care anymore. Things can become like faded memories that have little effect on your emotions.

You have lots of good qualities. You are kind and considerate. You have a sense of right and wrong and from what I have gathered you are an honest, tender-hearted person that wouldn't hurt a fly. All those qualities are worthy of deep admiration. They are part of why I find you likable.

And yes, you can move on from depression and wishing you were dead or like you didn't exist anymore. It can go away and life can become so beautiful and happy. I hope you are able to find that soon and leave your sadness behind.

Anyone then - I just want a reply before I go to bed.

The pain I've been feeling recently is so unlike anything I've ever felt before and the feelings are sometimes indescribable.

I'm begging you, any of you - help me.

I wish I could, but I'm in the same boat.... I can't talk about it in detail, but I've been hurt twice in very short time, and yeah, indescribable is a good word.

Hang in there, you're not alone...*hugs*.

My ex girlfriend doesn't care to even talk... no matter how powerful my feelings are or how good my articulation is.

It has almost been half a year now since the break up.

I don't even know who I am or who she is any more. She doesn't seem like a human being any more.

This has so far been the worst year of my life. :(

I can certainly relate to that...I don't want to talk to my husband because all he wants to do is criticize me, and the person I want to talk to doesn't want to talk to me...how messed up is that?

I want to give you all sorts of good advice but I find myself, older than you and not much wiser...LOL. I can't tell you that you should move on because I have trouble doing that...
And the one thing I *won't* tell you is to go find someone else because if you're still hurting from this relationship and your next one doesn't work out it will be unbearable (yeah, I've had that happen before). So, I'll just sit here and commiserate, I guess :?

Hi man, I know you've been a member for a while and we haven't talked a lot, but I know you're a good person. First of all, good to know that you know there's something wrong with you, and you've decided to do something about it

Now the hard part:

1.- exercise. 50% of your success will depend on this.
3.- go out (take the sun) sun is good for you. 50% of your success will depend on this.
2.- Do fun things, be silly, laugh at yourself, watch a lot of comedy movies. When I was very very depressed, I had a routine, everyday I watched a comedy program at 8pm, worked out at 9pm, and went to sleep at 11pm. On weekends I went out to grab some sea fod and a beer, and watched a movie, a comedy of course. It did wonders.
1.- Read this book: Man's search for meaning, by Viktor Frankl. 50% of your success will depend on this. This book saved my life. It's like 6 bucks, and very short. It's not a self-help book, it's much much better, and man! it was a lifesaver!
It's a little book divided in two parts: The first part is about his life experience at a concentration camp in WWII, and the second part deals with logoteraphy, "hyperreflexion", "paradoxical intention" and why some of the people that were prisoners (and now free) had the urge to destroy and all that.

You need to do this FOR YOURSELF, it's your life, and you know you want to live, so you're already on the right track.

thumbs up man, and keep us updated.

"Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life; everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfillment. Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated, thus, everyone's task is unique as his specific opportunity to implement it."
Viktor Frankl

I offer this to you - peace. Perhaps you can recall some good memories of your time with her?

I don't want to remember my ex girlfriend if nothing good comes of it. Remembering peaceful times with her only adds to the pain - almost teasingly.

Yeah, I know that...I can't remember good times with either my husband or my friend...memories of either one just produce horrible pain. What I've been doing is when a memory comes up, I distract myself with something that has nothing to do with either of them. I've been helping someone learn romanian, and I'll email her, or I'll read a book that wouldn't interest either one, or I'll read something in my field of work, which isn't something that reminds me of either. I have to look elsewhere for distractions.

happymusic: Thank you. :) Yes - I tend to get very sensitive with emotions and feel extreme. I feel a litte bit better at the moment.

Meow101: I am sorry you have been through difficult times. :( *Hug* I do hope everything gets better. :) ^^

computerlove: Thank you for the advice and for the book reccomendation. :) I am really quite bad at staying organized so starting a routine may be hard, but perhaps I'll look at giving it a try.
And thank you. :)

CockneyRebel: Thank you. :)

Thank you everyone. :) ^^
*Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug*

My ex girlfriend talked to me tonight in the end. I feel a bit calmer for now.
I'm going to sleep now.
