Matthew Finnigan was a friend of mine. We weren't extremely close, but we did hang out at each other's apartments and had decent conversations. He was a nice, bright, and creative guy who loved computer programming and dragons. Like me, he also had Asperger's Syndrome. I think the world is a lonelier place without him.

I also happen to know Torrey, the accused murderer. He was as far as I could tell a NT, albeit a f**ked-up one (possibly due to the brutal abuse his father dished out to him during his childhood). If he really did kill Matt, it wouldn't be the first anti-social act he committed. He also tried to poison his own grandmother and vandalized my Facebook page so that it had the word "n****r" written on it. He also got along poorly with Matt. I'm not the least bit sorry the douchebag got arrested.

It's mortifying knowing that a friend of yours has possibly been killed by someone else you know.

Jesus, man, that's rough. My condolences go out to you. Just do me a favor and promise me you won't do anything stupid like try to avenge your friend. I know it's tempting to deal out vigilante justice in a situation like this, but from your description of the murderer it sounds like the police won't have any trouble making a case for him to be locked up for a LONG time. So let them handle it and give them all the information you can give (while still being honest of course). He'll have to answer to the US justice system, then he'll have to answer to God. Either way he'll get what's coming to him.

I'm not going to go all vigilante on Torrey. I know the cops have taken care of him. I just hope the bastard rots in jail for the rest of his miserable life.

My condolences. It wont be easy for a while, I wont lie. I have had this happen a few times in my life.
Just know that he was your friend, and appreciated you. Think of the happy times.
perhaps an 'irish wake' is in order with some mutual friends of his. talk about the good times.

I figured as much, I just wanted to make sure. Anyways, I'm sincerely sorry for your loss.

OMG, I'm sorry. I wish people would not see violence as the answer to their conflicts. I wish you comfort and peace in this tough time.

I did read the link, what is wrong with the killer's ear? :?

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I show no remorse towards the killer even though his family life seems to be bad. I hope your friend is at peace and that justice gets served. Was your friend bullied by this killer?

Holy s**t, the murderer sounds like a classic sociopath.

I'm really, really sorry about your friend's death. If you ever want someone to talk to, just PM me.

Man, what an a**hole. If you don't mind me asking, what was the nature of the relationship Matthew had with Torrey? Was he a friend of his?
