The one "person" who has been with me since 1994 is going to die soon. He knows he's going to die on April 14 of next year. He's been with me through thick and thin, he was there when my grandmother passed away in '07, he came back to me as I collapsed into grief walking back to my grandmother's house after her burial, now he has to go. I don't want him to, but if it's his destiny, then so be it.

I think "Sam" is something other than a physical human being knowable by all.
