Sometimes people hate the s*** out of you just for not being the way they expect. Other times, people figure out you're not the norm and they start shunning you. I want to die right now.

Yup, that's their problem. Prequisitive love just ain't love at all.

There are always people which do accept you, just look somewhere else.
Even though autism may make it more difficult, there are other autists out there

Realize, some of us just shun people simply because we don't like people. Well in my case its more like I am setting myself against humanity to prove a damn point, and so far I have. The point being to figure out, to 'define' human nature.

I have developed a couple new hobbies:

1. Disapointing society

2. Makeing as many people "facepalm" as I can
and keeping score, then trying to beat that
score.

As long as I am not truly harming anyone.

Yeah, autistic or not... being different in a cruel world like this doesn't work out too much.

Really wish I could help out here. Figuring this out myself... :/

As for being an individual, I was very interested in the idea of a Borg collective when I first saw those episodes of Star Trek. I wanted to be a Borg! I understood the issues concerning individuality vs. the comforts, strengths and resource of being connected in a hive society. An actual neural connection might bypass some of the AS difficulties, and maybe this is why the idea seemed so intriguing and attractive to me at the time. Of course, it's all just fiction, but still interesting.

if they are a mere eating-and-eliminating bag of meat and bones, i don't give a rap what they think unless they are armed.

I understand. My enthusiasm for the Borgs didn't last when I realized that the condition of being alone as an individual is not a bad thing. Other people can be unpleasant or even nasty. Sometimes hell really is other people. At times I find it necessary to get away from everybody.
