I really like things that fly. Yet, it's heavily dragging me away from my studies! And I have a risk of my parents pulling me off of college!
Why can't I be interested in soccer instead? Or C++?

I'm trying to set a timer while doing homework in 15 minute intervals,to cope with my short attention span... even though I managed to get progress, I yet forgot about one of my exams! And I missed it!

Are you seeing a psychiatrist or a therapist?

Have you applied to join the Air Force or other military branches?

Yes, maybe you just need to fly off-and-away into aviation ... or should that be "up-and-away"?

Either way, will where you are now help you ever get there?

Are you currently diagnosed with ANYTHING? If you are seriously considering turning into aviation (i have) then any of these things like AS bipolar etc can hurt your chances to pass an first class FAA medical, which would be the one needed to fly commercially.

I can relate! My interests are also aviation and spaceflight. When I think back to my college years, I was often too distracted by my interests to buckle down and study. End result: academic dismissal from college ( flunked out). You could study an aviation related discipline in college such as aerospace engineering you know.

However I was able to turn my interests into a career somewhat. I'm an engineering technican that specialises in approving adhesives and ploymers for use in aerospace applications. I can say with all honesty that I actually worked on the F-22 fighter plane.

Now in the USN and USAF and Army there are non-commissioned personnel called crew chiefs. Their job is to look after aircraft costing tens of millions of dollars. These are Sargents and Petty Officers, and a college degree is not neccessary for their work. They enlisted and started out as aircraft maintenance personnel.

In the US Army, there are Warrant Officers who fly aircraft. They are usually helicopter pilots. Unlike Lieutenants, Captains, and Majors, Warrant Officers are non-commissioned. They are essentially flying sargents. Again, a college degree is not neccessary for the job.
