When I got laid off I finally found the time to get evaluated for Aspergers perhaps you could do the same. A diagnosis of Aspergers could help you get grants for re-education. Use this time off to your advantage.

The sad thing is that with one fewer word in the subject this would be a happy thread.

My autistic 2 1/2 year old is learning to talk. Today he said "milk" for the first time and keeps surprising me by trying to sing songs I never knew he knew.

I picked up the pictures of my kids and they both look adorable. Daughter has AS(or so I think) and son has Autism.
I love happy Christmas pictures.

Getting laid off can be a good thing. You now have free time to figure things out and do what you want to do. Has there been a project you've been procrastinating from doing? Now, would be a great time to get started.

Let me ask you something first:

Do you enjoy that job that you've just got layed off? If you don't, this is your golden moment!

And I want you to give me some details of things you enjoy yourself with, your hobbies, your AS obsessions.

I want you to watch "Up in the Air", I loved that movie. But there are some good messages in that movie you should learn from... :)

Up in the Air was a great film. I would have rather seen that win best picture than The Hurt Locker.
