My day started out great. I was doing just awesome. Then along comes my bass lesson. For some reason, I got extremely overwhelmed. I'm usually capable of preventing myself from being overwhelmed, and yet, for the first time in months, I failed. Miserably. And then, in the car while I was being driven home, my Mom broke some horrible news to me. My stepfather, who I love very dearly, has been diagnosed with what is essentially cancer of the blood.

That's all, I can't write any more.

I'm very sorry to hear about all of this, especially your stepfather. It sounds like he's a really great guy.

Sometimes it just seems as if everything goes wrong all at once. Most people have days like that and sometimes even years like that!

I hope that things get better for you and your stepfather.

As a fellow bassist, every musician has their off days.

Thanks, guys. There is some good news; He can get a bone marrow transplant and up his chances of surviving along with radiation therapy. So my day got just a bit better.

Sounds like an off day. I'll pray for your step-dad. Assuming you don't mind.

I think that the latter event certainly effected your days outcome. I wish your father luck whilst battling with what I consider to be the cruellest disease in existence.
