I spent three weeks working on my art portfolio and then submitted it into the college.
today I got a letter saying
''dear applicant

Thank you for submitting your portfolio for assessment for the above course.

I very much regret that in this instance your portfolio did not meet the required standards, which would enable you to progress to the next stage of recruitment for this course.... ''

 FML

I'm sorry to hear that, deadinhead. I hope you bounce back. Maybe you could ask them for some more detailed feedback, so you can improve your portfolio.

deadinhead: here's a tip - it's not what you know, it's who you know.

There are also many many good art school to look into. Keep trying!

A small tip - if you take a general summer course there- (many reputable art schools hold them) - a good word from that teacher may be enough to get you in. I know the school I went to, if you participated in their summer workshops you have an automatic in.

Good luck!
