I have the post holiday blues. I was listening to the beginning of a Christmas song and I had to stop. People seem to become very nasty in January. At least one member did. That was 4 years ago. I've got to move on. I didn't want to take it to heart, so I was a punk rocker for a while. Why am I bothered about something that happened 4 years ago? Come On Home For Christmas, by Edward Bear is the song that got me into this state. Some song from the 70s. I really hope the person who did that to me, doesn't come on this thread and go off about how he loves January. January the 25th was the day that he dropped me as a friend. The day that the experts call the most depressing day of the year. I should have kept on being myself. I should have stuck with The Kinks and the 60s to begin with, instead of identifying with Sid from Flushed Away. I didn't know about the song, Mick Avory's Underpants or that he has had the same type of medical problem that I had, since the 60s. Why did I have to identify with a rat who burps and farts at the same time and picks his bum and than gives hugs? If somebody drops you for any reason, whether that person is a friend or a lover, do not let it change who you are. Not even for only 2 years.

I hope you feel better soon.

Have you tried playing your favorite music (unconnected to this person)? I find playing music I like (but perhaps not adore) can help me feel better. That and looking at videos of kittens on youtube.

I hope you know that your avatar made me want to watch that movie. :) Sid is very very friendly despite himself and everyone around him. I love the double-decker boats. Last I checked, you were fine the way you are. It's my birthday soon, want to celebrate with me? From an uber long distance? :o

I've got to admit that Sid is a cute character, but did I have to walk around looking like him? I still watch that movie from time to time. :O)

I'm fine the way I am. I just wish that I got there sooner than 2009.

I love kittens. I'll try the video idea. I'm also going to stick to The Kinks, the 60s and the 80s and lay off the classical music for a while. Classical music reminds me of that person right now. Thank you. :)

I have better feelings about January. The reason is so typical of CockneyRebel. I've found a reason to have January as one of my favourite months. Mick Avory joined The Kinks in the January of 1964. I'm going to party now. Does anybody want to come to my 60s party? :dj:
