II'm on the verge of a meltdown right now

but I'm fighting it by coming online here and venting a little. I just had an hour and a half of trying to keep my 3-year-old at work while Hubby was helping someone with an emergency move. There is expensive equipment in my room and TV production going on around the corner from me and V.P.s and managers strolling around the halls and he's on the spectrum too so of course he's very grabby and then has a meltdown when I have to snatch him away from an expensive piece of equipment and I didn't have a car with me so I couldn't take him somewhere else and all he wanted to do outside was dash into the parking lot or throw rocks. He pushed some buttons on one of my tape decks and one of the lights came on and I didn't know how to turn it off except by turning the whole thing off and back on again. Anyway, DH finally came and retrieved him, so maybe now that I'm calmed down a little and the urge to bash and bite is abating, I can get some work done. Thanks for listening.

Good to vent here.

I used to live in the 4200 block of 6th Ave right there on the edge of Forest Park. I still keep in touch with a couple of ladies from the neighborhood. Right behind me on the other side of the alley, on that street with the hill there is a lady who has an autistic son that my kids used to play with when they were all little. He's in his teens now but the mom still keeps a few kids for people. Since she is very familiar with kids on the spectrum and her house is all kid proof, and it's not that far from your work, (I volunteered at your work for a while when we lived there) would you like me to get her number for you and PM it to you? I know she doesn't charge much or didn't used to. She does still keep kids because one of the ladies who I stay in touch with mentioned the other day that she had the group of kids she keeps over at the park. (Not Avondale, the one up on the triangle like you are going the back way to SFX)
