I put "my" in citations since I do not want to be associated with Sweden, or any other country.

I'm going to burn "my" country's flag along with a Swedish court decision that makes so much manga and anime be seen to be as bad as real child pornography. While I burn the flag and that court decision, I will photograph myself doing it, and I will frame it afterwards and put it on the wall.

I hate this country, I hate its politicians, and I hate how real criminals like rapists are seen as "victims". I also hate how anyone can lie about any targeted person having raped them to get them into prison, just out of meanness; evidence is not needed in this country. I hate how it isn't criminal to photograph someone naked, without their consent, and upload the photo on the Internet, while owning innocent manga and anime images makes you being seen as an active pedophile (as opposed to an unactive, that merely has pedophilic thoughts (including thinking about manga and anime)). I hate so many things with this piece of shìt place and the rest of the world; I hate this country, but I also hate the countries surrounding it, and I hate the whole of the rest of the world. I should burn the flag of every country out there, but that'd be too expensive. Fùck this country, fùck this planet, and fùck this pathetic, lowly species.

Beauty_pact,

I dream that I was the leader of "my planet".

If I was then you would be one of the first people that I would invite to join me on Asgard.

Yes Asgard. The land of the noble and the brave.

Wow, there's really a law for that about manga in Sweden?? That's insane. I don't care for it myself, but that's crazy. I've always had the belief that the Swedish government was stupid, this just makes think that more. :P

As for me, I hate this country, the USA, and most people that inhabit it. They've got to be some of the stupidest people on Earth, out of the developed countries at least. I really hope someday that I can move somewhere else.

Swedish court decision about anime being as bad as child pornography--really. I would like to see the news story about that. It just sounds bizarre. Any links to news stories about this (I couldn't find any).

Yes it is true. I have read articles about it.

The girls in anime look young so it must be "kiddy porn" right?

Here in Australia, in the state of Queensland, police kept raiding shops and newsstands and arresting the owners because they were selling "Playboy".

Ok, last month's issue might have been fine but some twat in the government decides that THIS month's is "dirty" so they arrest a bunch of newsstand owners.

Go figure.

Wow. Apparently I'm not the only Swede on this site that despises the country.. perhaps not because of laws about manga possession, but because of the hypocrisy than seeps through everything... during the last year or so, I've realized that the place I thought I lived in was just an illusion.

In the US manga or any cartoon depicting an underage character in sexual situations (including nudity) is considered an offense. Problem is many manga/hentai stuff bypasses child porn laws by technicalities..aka drawing the character like a child but in the storyline claiming the character is an adult. That kind of stuff doesn't fly in US courts very well.

I hate this country too, but I hate most places anyway. Everywhere I go, people are close minded and intolerant. Especially the ''God fearing'' people. The most tolerant country I've been too is Thailand and that's why I want to move there one day.

They are all in Swedish:

www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/article8478527.ab

kulturbloggen.com/?p=29376

Piratpartiet ("The Pirate Party") comments on it:
www.aftonbladet.se/debatt/debattamnen/b ... 8479802.ab

I'll be voting for Piratpartiet in the next election, like I did in the EU election, if I'm alive, then. But I don't think I will be. I'll most likely be dead by the end of the year. Even more stringent laws than the Swedish ones are on the way in the EU. And surprise, surprise, one of the fùcktard Swedish politicians that are for these kinds of laws, Cecilia Malmström, now is in the very right department of the EU commission to get these things through. And hear, she is well respected, too... hoe and hag or not.

Most of the manga and anime I like now is illegal - it's enough that they have big eyes for it to be able to be seen as child porn. And the EU is heading in the same direction as Sweden. I can't buy bishôjo games, anymore, without the risk of getting a house raid. I really am getting tired of living. I have not found my true love, yet, either... there's too much negativity... I want to die, and I want to die now. I'm not going to do it now, but I have to die... I'm just too tired of everything. If I at least had my true love... but I don't, and even if I did, I'd want to join in a romantic suicide pact, together with her, after some time, anyway... not quite the same as dying alone - the very opposite, in fact - but I guess I should start focusing on dying alone, now. I'm so tired of everything... I just want out. :/

EDIT: Why the hell don't the goddamned fùcking links work?? Why the FÙCK don't they turn out as they are supposed to??! FÙCK THIS!! And fùck this goddamned swear word censorship on this site.

EDIT 2: Just fùcking removed the fùcked up url codings. -_-;;

Nevermind, I'm feeling much better, now. I have two good answers that well may help the situation.

It's time that I turn my bitterness into something more productive.

All animé/hentai being as bad as child porn?

In the UK we have the Dangerous Drawings Act which means that sexualised drawings of children are illegal and can attract a prison sentence. So some hentai/anime is already illegal.

Not all is illegal by default, but any drawing (or computer animation, painting or whatever) that may be "perceived" as sexual (they use that word; "perceived"), along with what may be "perceived" as "underage", is illegal whenever someone points their finger at something (that means anything that illustrates a character under eighteen (how a drawing now can have an actual age), and this also despite that the age of sexual consent is fifteen, here). Even looking at an "offending" image makes you a sex criminal. Also, in fact, in that same 1999 law, it was also made illegal to dress in "child-like" clothing and get photographed, regardless how old you are.

This is one of the images that were included as "child porn", and determined to be, when the verdict fell, in the district court, in the middle of last year. It was excluded in the court of appeal, at the end of January, but until then it was a sex offense to just LOOK at this mostly rather innocent image:

Image

It was made illegal because they are naked and look young. Makes you wonder what most of the other images look like, doesn't it? But no one can find out WHAT they look like without breaking the law and becoming a so-called "sex offender".

A person's thoughts is today a crime in Sweden. Thought crime is real, here, now (actually since 1999, when this law was passed), which coincides with the FRA law; a supercomputer that is supposed to surveil the population. Probably was established as a gift to the US - the Swedish politicians are such fùcking weaklings. Hello 1984. But this won't end without a fight, that's for sure...

That's because ot all, but a lot of hentai/menga fall into the child porn category. The pic you provided is hardly an innocent picture. I shuold post some of this hentai crap I have seen b4 but it would go against the site rules.

Do you understand Swedish? Have you read through what it is about in the articles I provided? What does some of the hentai YOU have seen have to do with the images in question? And regardless what the banned images show, they are DRAWINGS.

No, not innocent, but it is hardly hardcore, now is it? And innocent or not, is the image I posted child porn? Hmm? Or should it be, rather, since it is now excluded in the verdict from the court of appeal. By the way, the victim of this farce is appealing. Unfortunately, those who have been abused, before, in the making of REAL child porn, can NOT appeal the fact that the Swedish courts and politicians now equal their rights to the rights of characters in drawings.
