Someone help me write a country song! 
So I got up this morning feeling generally unmotivated. Finally pull it together and then I didn't make it out of the house in time to make it to my first piano lesson today. So I thought, meh, skip it and I'll make it to me next two.
So I get in my car, go my usual back-road way to get to my private teaching studio. Along the way, I'm thinking I'm really not in the mood to teach these lessons, not really ready for my fundraiser gig tonight, etc., etc., when my car starts acting strange. So I pull over, turn the car off, try the engine again, and it quickly goes dead!! ! I'm in the middle of a cotton field, and my car goes dead...
So I hoof it for about a mile because I've forgotten my cell phone--which had a dead battery anyway--and I get to the outskirts of civilization to a agricultural chemical supply office, call my wife, and wait outside about 20 minutes (weather was actually nice). She picks me up, takes me to the school where I teach, I pack my stuff to take to the country club where I'm playing tonight. My car has just been towed back to my house (where I am now) and I'm about to start getting ready for my gig. We're also having company staying over this weekend, the house is a mess, and I have no idea when/how I'm going to get this place cleaned up AND do this gig tonight. I'm at the mercy of my wife picking me up when she gets off work and picks up the kids from daycare, and then I'll have to wait for her to pick me up when the gig is over.

I am sorry, I should probably be all 'send-you-a-virtual-hug'-like, but instead I was laughing. You just have such an entertaining way of complaining, it's actually a pleasure to read.
OK, there you go, at least one thing went right today: You amused someone.
I hope that whatever other mishaps may befall you today, they have equally beneficial side-effects.
